You can use a sheet as a prop to cover problem areas. Ask your photographer to shoot your head and chest, or lie on your stomach, these are flattering poses. Corsets look good. Use props like umbrellas, feathers, doorways, etc.
Don't feel afraid to rock those curves though ;)
Ooooo I think you should go pin-up! Curvy girls always rock that aesthetic really well and I think it's super cute and sexy at the same time :) Also, you could do some shots with your face closer to the camera and in-focus with your body out of focus in the background (sassy, but still a little demure) if you are worried about being self-conscious. Lying on your stomach is a good suggestion as well and you can get lots of good poses from it. Let us know how it goes!
I can't wait to get the pics back!!! I'm soo excited...All I've come up with for props so far is a boa, a masquerade mask, and one of his shirts...I NEED HELP BEES!!!
I don't feel comfortable posting my pictures, but I did them myself and I dressed up in his shirts with no pants on. I agree with using sheets.
Use a men's oxford shirt! I have seen SO many great boudoir pictures of women in men's shirts! So classy and seductive.
Oh I would love to see all your photos. I am in no way confident enough to do a boudoir shoot so I stand up and applaud all of you!
My profile pic is from a boudooir shoot last year. I'm a curvy girl as well, I wore black thigh high stockings, booty short undies and Baby doll. Basically this outfit except it was black with touches of red(opposite of pic).
It was soo much fun, can't wait to do it again. If your uncomfortable with certain parts of you just let the photographer know. Trust them they know what they're doing! Some positions feel very strange but you'll get some amazing pics! My FI loved it.

I was happy with the way my photog used angles, focus and props to help slim me down :) A few examples:

I agree with KristenGettingMarried. The photographer SHOULD know how to pose you in more figure-flattering positions. Also, have the photographer focus on the areas that you know your man loves most. Buy what you feel most comfortable and sexy in. I would also recommend that you get a pair or two of heels/stilletto's that would elongate your legs, plus they look really sexy in the shots. Oh, and if you can get a mani/pedi beforehand and find someone to do your hair/makeup, that really helps you feel good (not to mention that it looks nice too). P.S. Since this can become costly, don't forget that you can return the shoes and jewelry! P.S.S. Make sure you get full rights to your pics so that you can make your own album for a lot cheaper!
