Could you post a picture? It would help if we could see it. πŸ™‚

@Lyndzo:  thanks! I didn’t realize this was a double post until I had already commented on this one πŸ™‚

@Katchin:  don’t worry about it πŸ™‚ honestly I don’t think there is a way to delete it. Your usually better off just leaving it in the first place you post. As far as i understand, the mods can move it if it needs moved. πŸ™‚

@Katchin:  I completely understand.  I’m on the cusp of plus size in regular clothing so with bridal gowns running on average 2-3 dress sizes smaller, my options were limited.  Can you post a photo of the gown from the designer’s website?  I would love to see a photo of your gown however the only opinion that truly matters is your own.

When do you expect you gown will arrive in the correct size?  If you truly love the gown, i.e. the style, fabric, color, feel of the fabric, etc. then I would encourage you to remain positive about the gown and wait until you get to try in on in your size before making any decisions about changing it.

If you feel like the only reason you even selected the gown, was because you had to settle then you should continue looking elsewhere.

I keep hearing that there is a limited selection/availability of bridal gown shops in Australia.  I know of at least one online site that allows you to try on gowns in the privacy of your own home and return them without penalty if you decide you don’t like them.  This might be a good option for you?  I will try to find the website, if I do I will post it here.

I just saw your gown in the other “double” post and I think it is beautiful.  The a-line style compliments your shape and the bodice/design along the top of the skirt is beautiful.  As far as adding sleeves, or altering the gown to cover your arms goes, I just saw an episode of “Say Yes to the Dress” and there was a plus size bride who wanted to add thick pieces of fabric to her gown to cover her arms.  The addition actually did nothing but draw attention to the bride’s arms.  Would you consider removing the current straps and having the neckline altered to a “V” shape with sleeves added, a la “Kate Middleton” style?  I think that would look beautiful with your gown and will make you feel more comfortable about your arms.

Good luck!

I think that the dress is stunning and you will look amazing on your wedding day! The first day I tried on dresses, I fell in love with one (that I’m not going to end up getting), so the feeling can be there about THE dress, but if it’s not there, you’re just not excited enough!
