They’re professionals and they know how to get you into a flattering pose and play up your best features. Check out They have some boudoir photo shoot deals on there from time to time.

danayunglee:  i had a boudoir shoot done as hubbys wedding present and i was super nervous about how they would turn out. as a plus size girl i was petrified of looking like a wobbly mess!! i was also scared of ‘letting myself go’ infront of the photographer.

the 1st half of the session i stayed quite ‘uptight’ – posing how she told me to but still nervous and stiff in corsets and oversized shirts. then i figured – hey, she is a professional and isnt going to make me look horrible! i ended up just in my knickers rolling around on the floor with a sheet.

out of all the pics – they were my favourites… and that is the one hubby ended up with 🙂

i would go for it – its an amazing experience and your photographer will know what they are doing to ensure they get the best out of you and your body!xx

Do some research and ask lots of questions. There are a lot of photographers out there and not all are created equal. A good, professionial one will know how to shoot your best angles, as previous posters have said. However, there are also a lot of amateurs who get paid for one event and call themselves professional. Look at what photos are on their website, choose one with lots of differet budouoir shots so you know they have done their fair share. If you don’t see many online, and like what you do see, ask them to see more photos. They should be willing to share with you to get your business.

Meet with them in person. It will give you a good feel for if you will be able to get relaxed around them. Ask them what they do to help pose you. Do they play music? Also, if it’s a company with multiple photographers, make sure you meet the one you will be working with that day, not just a salesman. Ask for previous clients you could talk to and make sure they were happy with everything.

I do say go for it, just be sure to do you research. I’ve seen a lot of photos of every kind that are just a little off. In my head I’m like, why shoot that angle when just a little change would make all the difference in the world. That’s why I say see lots of photos and do your homework!!! Good Luck!
