@Mrsderoo42614:  Where exactly is the fat?  Is it down by your waist, or is it coming out from the top of your dress (armpit area)?

A well fitted long line bra where you can tuck and smooth things underneath is helpful, as is making sure the seamstress does not make the top of your dress too tight. Honest answer, though? No one will notice but you. Everyone else is going to be looking at your radiant smile.

@Mrsderoo42614:  What about a wrap, shawl or bolero? You can find one to compliment almost any dress.

Can you post a pic of your dress?

The consultant who I bought my dress from taught us a trick for that. Have someone take their fingers along the top of the dress and pull the skin so that it comes around to the front like armpit/boob area and tuck it in there, I dont know too much if it really works because my dress is in the middle of alterations but it sounds like a good plan.

One of the gowns I tried on was slightly too small, but I loved it (it was a discontinued sample, so I couldn’t order it in my size).     It pushed up a small ridge of skin in back, which really made me self-conscious.  The seamstress came over and said, ‘I probably can’t let out the back on this gown. You can just body tape your skin down if you don’t lose weight before the wedding.”  I thought she was kidding, but apparently it’s a thing!

PS:  I opted for a different dress, but they told me that brides do this all the time…some even just use duct tape!

I don’t know how to disguise the back fat in any way. But I just wanted to let you know you look absolutely lively in your dress.
