lol I just wore my normal stuff. Pretty sure I was in a thong one time, too. I figure those consultants have seen EVERYTHING.

I’m about as modest as a newborn so it didn’t really phase me much. I did make sure I had decent looking undies on. And a well fitting bra. But seriously, it’s not that big a deal. Think of the consultants like doctors. Nothing phases them!

@LeopardPrintBee:  I just wore my regular undergarments. Dont be embarrassed, it’s their job and they are used to it for sure. The second I got in the room with my consultant she was like ‘alright take off your bra, I’m going to put a corset top on you’ so there was no time for embarrassment haha.

@LeopardPrintBee:  I wore my usual stuff, generally a convertible bra in case the place didn’t put you in one of theirs or they didn’t have my size, that way I could make it a strapless. Modest underwear, I guess? No thongs, no lace backs, nothing see-through. Not granny panties either, just my normal boy short cut undies.

I pretty much wore my normal things, since I wanted to find a dress and figure out what type of underthings were needed after the fact. Outside of that, I did make sure to wear shoes at a similar height. If you try on samples smaller than you, the dress will probably appear shorter than it’ll be on your normal size.

@LeopardPrintBee:  I hadn’t thought of it either so I was a bit caught off guard. I’m not sure if they do that at every salon but I loved it! The corset they put on me gave me an amazing shape. I’m a pretty modest person but I felt completely comfortable with my consultant. Just remember they do this all the time so I’m sure they don’t even think twice about it. Have a great shopping trip!:)

@LeopardPrintBee:  Strapless bra and cheekie panties.  Like PP said, those consultants have seen it all.

I wore shapewear on the bottom half and a strapless bra on top, and shoes of the same heel height that I intend to wear.  Also I kept the makeup to a very minimum so I didn’t stain the dresses.

Regular bra and panties (thong). They said if I felt comfortable, to take my bra off. I did. It gave me a much better idea of what the dress would look like as it would come in. Then, I was able to decide if I wanted pads sewn in and/or if I wanted to wear a bra on wedding day.

The measurements take about 30 seconds, they’re not looking at your body, just the tape, and they really have seen everything. When I was trying on dresses (topless), they let me put the dress on myself, and then helped lace/zipper me in once I was covered.

It was a very comfortable, memorable, fun experience 🙂 (And yours will be, too!

I wore a white bra so it wouldn’t distract me from the dress when I didn’t take it off.  🙂  Other than that – don’t sweat it, they’ve seen it all, promise.  My mom helped me in most of them, but the consultant I bought my dress from helped me in the ones I tried on there and she was super cool.
