MOH is a large girl with a very large bust. One bridesmaid is also rather busty and on the larger size. third girl is tall and slim and a perfect size 6. Am at a loss as to what kind of neckline will work. Afraid halter top will cover bustline but then with a V neck the cleveage will be spilling everywhere. MOH hasn’t been able to try on store samples as she is too large for sample size 10 dresses. Time is really getting short and we need to find dresses and get them ordered Sweetheart necklines are out as MOH is too busty. PLEASE suggestions or pictures on what worked for others.

I think a V-neck would be the safest. My girls were pretty well endowed and were held in nicely by a sturdy V-neck. You could always find out if you can buy an extra piece of the dress fabric to maybe do a little cover up sewn right in the middle.

This is a similar dress to what I am getting my girls:
This is on sale at david bridal for $79.99
This is great for Plus Size and Regular Size Women…they even have a review with a picture of a brides wedding party of girls all different sizes in the dresses. (actually wedding party not models)
It may seem mean to you but my MOH and I joked when it came to dresses cus we viewed it as MOH XL Bridesmaid Medium and Jr Bridesmaid is Small!
I had to find a dress that would look great on all of them!
Here is the dress we are going with from a china dress maker!

Strapless actually works rather well for me (38DD). That is, only IF the proper undergarments are used (a GOOD strapless bra). V-Necks make me look like a man, or so I feel.

I second V neck… seems counter intuitive, but a good v neck will hold in the girls, and allow for a proper undergarment. sometimes w/ strapless or halters, it’s hard to get the right bra and then you get weird boobage things happening.

@AmeliaBedelia: I’ve suggested bride and MOH go to Nordstrom for a proper bra fitting for the MOH. Suggestions as to best place to get good fitting strapless bra for a large girl that doesn’t smoosh her together with a Grand Canyon of cleveage?

I have a few busty girls in my party and the first thing they asked about BM dresses was if they had straps. Most of my girls wanted the straps for extra support since they could wear a regular bra with it. They were also most comfortable with halter, sweetheart, and straight necklines. Just don’t pick anything with too much fabric in the chest area. Those dresses just emphasize the boobs.
This is the neckline my girls felt most comfortable with:
This is the neck line they absolutely hated:

@imtonif: I got one of the ones from David’s Bridal. You can choose your cup size AND your waist size, which is convenient. It’s pretty comfy. I don’t have squishy cleavage with it. 🙂
@FloretteLiz: I completely agree about the neckline they hated, lol. It only looks good on less busty women, IMO.

@AmeliaBedelia: Yeah my two twiggy girls were dead set on the “bust enhancing” dress as I’ll call it… Since I have a lot of girls I tried to find a dress that would look great on all of them (letting them all pick their own dress in my color was not going well). That first neck line flattered everyone including my flat chested and busty girls.

Anything that draws down wards such as a sweetheart neckline or a V-cut will open up your neck area, making your chest seem proportionate and flatter your large bust. I’m a 36 DDD so I’m speaking from experience here haha.

Second the sweetheart and V-line suggestions! 🙂

I have a large bust, and I really do not not like strapless. As PP mentioned, straps provide the ability to wear a bra that will actually give larger boobs the support they need. IMHO I would want my friends to feel comfortable and confident so that is what I would go with in this situation.

My bride is letting us choose between a few dresses, as long as they are in their color scheme. I’m a plus size MOH, pale, and big bust. The bridesmaids are of all different sizes, colors, and nationalities. There’s no way we would all agree on one dress!

I would let your girls pick the style they like. There is really no need to make them all wear the same style (unless that’s what YOU absolutely want). You want them to feel comfortable and confident, not like they are stuffed in to a dress that’s not flattering. I am so glad I decided to let my BMs pick the dress they like!
