That fabric looks like it might be a little clingy for a plus-sized girl.  Universally flattering cuts are usually empire waisted and a-line dresses.

It is empire waisted.  I would be worried about the boob area.  The distance from the top to the under boob band looks kind of short.  Sometimes tops like that cut my boobs in half because when they scale the dress up to plus-size they don’t increase that distance.

that is one gorgeous BM dress! That is one i picked out for my bm but then later discovered another one i liked.

the dress is actually really pretty and the material isnt clingy. we saw it at the bridal store and was on that my plus size BM tried on. she look great in it but she felt larger because it was flowy.  it kinda give them that preggo look but it wasnt tight which was nice. this could have been a different dress fromt he one above but it looks exactly the same. it is a Mori Lee dress the one my girl tried on.

I think that could be flattering on a plus size girl.  I also recommend A-Line dresses.  They’re pretty much universally flattering.

I said this in a similar post about plus sized bridesmaids, but here it goes again.  I have 5 lovely ladies standing up with me, and they range in size from a 4-24 or so. We ended up getting bill levkoff’s 379 and 380.  They are comfortable and my BMs are going to add whatever kind of strap they are comfortable with (spaghetti, standard inch or so wide strap, cap sleeves, halter, etc.  or just  go strapless) to complete the look. They will all be a solid color.

I had a plus size BM also and I found that the best look was a more structured dress (not so flowy) in an A-line.  And everyone needed the option for straps (2 of my 6 had them added)!  its always best to shop for the hardest body to fit

I would suggest taking them to David’s Bridal since they carry almost all sizes. Other than that, you won’t get a plus sized girl to fit into a sample size dress. I had my plus sized girls just order their BM dresses from Bill Levkoff cause I knew they would look good in them. I know that because I’m a plus size and I had an idea of what would look good on me. Your dress is not something I’d want to wear although it’s cute. I tried on one like that and it didn’t look right on me. But, everyone’s different. I say, ruching is good, and don’t think that strapless is bad just because they’re bigger. (two important things everyone should know haha).

Most important thing, find out what your BMs are COMFORTABLE in. Some skinny chicks are never happy because they think they’re fat too. Sometimes, you can’t please everyone but find out what would make everyone, including you, most happy.

Try Kirstie Kelly dresses.  They have a line for the bridesmaid called Maidens.  I saw this dress in their salon in Brentwood CA.  They have plus sizes as well.  They have  a line calles Red Label for the larger sizes. I had to order it for my bridesmaids. Good luck!

I have 2 plus sized BMs, 1 that’s kinda in between, 1 that has big boobs but is average sized, 1 that is just all over average sized, and 2 that are tall and thin. I took 3 BMs with me to David’s Bridal yesterday (the 2 plus size and the big boobed one) and they tried on a few different dresses but this one was the one that fit the best and looked totally awesome on all 3 of them. I’m taking 3 more BMs in 2 weeks to try it on to make sure it looks just as good on them, but I’m thinking if it can look so good on the plus sized girls, then it can probably look just as good on everyone else. The only thing about this dress is that the chiffon halter has to be tailored to fit because it’s made big (when the girls first put it on, we thought it looked terrible!), but once it’s pulled back tight, it looks awesome! This picture, however, does not do it justice, and, unfortunately, we didn’t take any pictures yesterday, so you’ll just have to take my word for it 🙂

as a large breasted girl i know that the dress you posted would not cover me up no matter what size i got. a halter top dress is also not a good idea either. I would suggest something with straps or a sweat heart strapless with empire waist. Also, satin with chiffon overlay is a great option for a girl with curves or Full FIgured 🙂
