I would try David’s Bridal!  They have sooo many choices, for ALL sizes and your girls can get all different styles, but you’ll know it will be the exact same color!

What about convertible dresses?  They’re very forgiving for larger women.  I bought one today from convertiblewrapdress.com to see the quality; their website has a bunch of pictures of real women wearing the dresses.

@Stace126:  Wrap dresses would be perfect for your situation. They’re super affordable ($80+ depending on who makes them). It’s something that the girls would be able to wear again for any occasion and with all the different styles you can create with them it’s flattering for just about any size. I was originally going to go with wrap dresses but they just didn’t fit in with how we were going about doing things. Etsy.com. Look up the infinity wrap dress. Hope this helps some what! :]

I would go to Davids Bridal definitely. I was in my best friends wedding a couple of years ago and she had the same stipulations for the 3 of us (all with totally different body types). We actually all ended up with the same dress that flatter each one of us. I am also doing this with my bridesmaids who have differing body types as well. They have a great selection of dresses (especially if you go with a color that is available in one of their 44 collections) and the prices are generally $99-$150. Plus, they carry from a size 2-28 I think

David’s bridal has a thing where you pick the fabric and color and then the girls have a number of styles to choose from. They should do well there.

I will have a similar issue: bridesmaids with very different body types. I will likely just choose the color and length and let them pick the dress. Your color is kind of hard though so that might not be as easy to do. Good luck!

@peachacid: How did your purchase from convertiblewrapdress.com work out? I’m looking at buying them for my bridesmaids.

Having been a plus size bridesmaid in a wedding party of stick thin (and stunning) ladies, I totally felt the sting of it all.  The worst part was having to strip down with the other bridesmaids in the dressing room to find a dress… THEN having none of the dresses fit.

My piece of advice is to ask the girls how they want to do it – I was humiliated and wouldn’t want anyone to feel how I did.
