This might seem like an unconventional solution, but do you like vintage inspired dresses? There’s a shop called Unique Vintage that sells amazing 50s style dresses that are SUPER flattering on plus-size girls. I’m a plus size–and I wear their dresses to EVERY formal event. They are SO flattering. Not sure what size they go to–but I’m a street size 16, and they had several sizes larger than I wear.

Here are a few examples:

And my personal favorite (I own this in three different colors):

Or…if you’re into the Gatsby look, they have an entire line of flapper style dresses:

There’s also Bettie Page Clothing. They make amazing plus size dresses (again, not sure what size they go to–but I’m a street size 16, and they had several sizes larger than I wear).  This is the dress I wore as MOH in my sister’s wedding.  I’m a plus size too–and I felt STUNNING in it. All the guests RAVED about how great our dresses were, too.

My girls wore these dresses by alfred sung. Now, they paid $200 but omg did they look fabulous and they actually loved their dresses. My sister purchased a size 24 and it looked amazing on her!

My girls are wearing this dress by Alfred Angelo —

It looks a bit prom-ish on the model (I think it’s the color and the fact that she looks 17) but they are wearing it in Eggplant with a Charcoal sash. You can click on the color tab to change it to what your colors may look like.

Anyway, my bridesmaids range in size from 8-30 and they all look amazing in this dress.

Edited to add: It is $189 from an Alfred Angelo Signature Store and $205 from a local bridal shop.

My girls were a varity of sizes and shapes, and as a plus sized bride who has been a bridesmaid a number of times,I knew that I wanted they to feel comfortable.  I chose a designer, fabric, lenth, and color and let my girls pick what cut they wanted. It turned out beautifully!  I love all the different styles and my MOH has worn her dress twice since the wedding!  TWICE!  I feel like that is such a win!!!  We went with Alfred Sung.  They were average price and very well made.

I have 2 plus size bridesmaids and 2 skinner girls and they are all wearing these. I know its a skinny model but the empire waist looks good on them and its nice and flowy. plus the little sleeves kinda cover their chubby arms
