I'm getting married next Saturday! Woo hoo I can't wait! I can not find any pictures of REAL plus size brides!! Am I the only one? Here are some of my bridal pictures! My dress is a size 20w from David's Bridal and I love love love it!

I didnt have any bridal pictures....its actually something I would like to do though. Heres me on my wedding day. It was a size 22 maggie dress. :) It is admitedly not the most flattering dress, but i loved it anyway.
You ladies look gorgeous. I only have pics of me trying on my dress at my Mom's apartment. I got it online at David's, so it's SO not fitted to me yet. I can't wait to see it when it's fitted! But here's my very favorite pic of it (so far). It's a size 22.

Yes ma'am it is!! Isn't it perfect! I bought the dress without ever trying it on! The stores around me didn't have any in, and I took a chance on it anyways and am sooooo happy that I did!! =)
@ShelbiDuda: It was made for you! I'm dreading dress shopping but these pictures are making me feel a little better about the experience.
@HolyVowels: Aww you are too sweet! =) I was the same way when I went dress shopping! I ended up buying another dress actually and when I went for my first fitting I just knew it wasn't for me...then I saw this one online at home and just knew that I had to have it! Since no one around here had a sample I ordered it over the phone, and when it came in I just knew it was perfect for me!! =) I was so excited I took a chance on it!
@ShelbiDuda: How did you know what size to order? Did you base it on the other dress you bought? I am overly compensated in the bust area, but I have small hips, so I'm going to need a lot of alterations and I don't trust myself ordering online!
This is a real sore spot for me. My photogs did not capture one picture of just me in my gown. This photo was taken by a bridesmaid when I was getting dressed and holding back the tears because my photog was late and unable to be there. Anyways...my gown is a Private Label by G. I had to order the biggest size, a 26, because of my big ole hips. My seamstress took out at least two inches on each side of the top, and it was still loose up there.
I just tried on a bunch of dresses from there, the one I had bought before was an 18w, it fit nice, but I'm really broad, and since this dress has lace all the way up the back i didn't want to take a chance, the buttons don't give at all lol. So I got a 20w it fit perfect, just a few alterations, and I'm not so blessed in the bust so i had to have bra cups put it. I would go try on some dresses first. Just to get a size idea. I just called ordred mine over the phone though since I couldn't do it online...but I wasn't nervous about it fitting at all.

I'm wearing Alfred Angelo 2118. I have a pic of me in the sample which is a size 10. I need to order a 16 ir 18 so it's a little tight. The pic isn't that good. They didn't allow pics, but my MOH got a few on the sly.

Here is my dress! I loved the dropped waist with the clean folded detail (you can see the detail the most in the non-pro pic.) I esp loved the "v" top vs. a sweetheart!
I don't know what bridal size the dress was b/c I had it custom made :)
Me in my Casablanca 1889 - it was an 18, but I gained a bit of weight (I'd bought it off the rack from a bridal consignment place) so I had the seamstress put in a corset back. Fit beautifully! And I'd wanted a corset back all along, so it worked out great. (Can't find a good full length color shot... I'll keep looking.)

@ShelbiDuda:This is one dress I have considered buying... but have a hard time telling how it would fit since the sample isn't the right size. I love the lace and buttons on the back!

I'm really glad you guys posted. I've been feeling like it's the end of the world because I'm on the heavier side and had to buy my dress in a double digit size. But you guys all look so great! That's really encouraging, that even if I don't wind up losing the weight I can still be smokin' hot.
Strapless tops can be a problem during the dancing at your reception - many dresses look good in static poses - but when you want to prance around to House Of Pain - Jump Around 'problems' appear.
