carmor:  http://www.eshakti.com/  I haven’t used them since I waited too long to order something from them that would arrive on time for my photos, but they carry a large range of sizes and lots of different styles that you can customize by length, sleeves, and necklines.

carmor:  this all depends on your style. But I would check torrid.com and lanebryant. I usually find great stuff there and I’m short as well. I almost ALWAYS have to tailor my clothes because given the sizes I need and my height the two just don’t match up. Which isn’t the clothing that’s the problem, it’s me lol. someone my height isn’t supposed to be in the sizes im buying. so until I can make all the changes im in the process of making to my body, I have to still look nice and dress appropriately. that means tailoring!!! So buy something you like and that’s close enough and then get it tailored. That’s my only real suggestion. But Torrid and lane bryant have nice options depending on your style.

ModCloth, ASOS, and Forever 21 all carry plus sizes … I am 5’2 and have had luck with all 3.

Maybe something like this? http://www.bonton.com/shop/women/plus-size/dresses/connected-plus-size-retro-mock-wrap-polka-dot-dress_743624.html

My mom is about your height and a size 18ish and she always likes to shop at bonton. She has a couple different patterns of this ‘notations knit dress’ that is actually very flattering on her. It comes in S/M/L/XL and i think she has the L.  http://www.bonton.com/shop/women/petites/dresses/daytime/notations-petites-scatter-print-knit-dress_791685.html?query=notations+knit+dress&mm=1

carmor:  You can’t be petite AND plus sized. It’s either or. You are plus sized and short. Petite means both short and skinny… all around tiny. I also can’t stand when a 5’10” skinny girl calls herself petite… she’s not. She’s tall and skinny!

Anyways, my sister is short and plus sized and has had luck at modcloth.

LeonardLady: Actually, you can be petite and plus sized since “Petite” is in reference to the height and not size in clothing.  There are lots of stores that carry WP sizes.

Igigi makes the BEST dresses. I feel so pretty in them. <br /><br />Torrid… funky and fun and budget friendly, you can have something altered in length easily I am sure.

Forever 21+  ….bought some stuff for my trip last year from them.. I was very pleased. Everything was long but again, easy to fix when it only cost 30 bucks.

Forever 21+ Canada has some shorter plus sized dresses. I’m 5’7 and I had ordered a few from there and they were wayyyyyyy too short for me. If you order from there and they end up too long for you, then they have a fairly good return policy.

Heads up, ASOS dresses are always pretty long on me (I’m 5’3″) but they are super stylish–and their sizes run a little large (I’m a 22-24 but wear 18-20 in their stuff). ModCloth is GREAT and I think has a lot of super cute stuff for engagement photos–and there’s an option to talk to a fit expert on their site to make sure you order the right size. Skip Lane Bryant and Torrid, their style and quality is just ‘blah’, especially for the price. eShakti is great and you can order custom to fit your measurements exactly (including height), but can be fairly pricey.

Can you get a longer dress hemmed a bit shorter? That might be easier than finding a dress in your size that is also short enough. I like the polka dot dress posted!

Also can I say how ridiculous it is that the site you posted in the OP for plus sized women has non-plus women modelling all their clothes? WHY?
