I wish this thread had been around when I was looking! It would have been a huge help when trying to find a dress for my wedding. It is wonderful to see these dresses on plus size figures. Everyone looks lovely!

Here is the only pic I have so far of me in my dress..it was so hard to get anything good since the sample was a size 8 and I had to order a 16 (I am street size12/14)
I can't wait till she comes in in my size...I just know it will be gorgeous once it fits
OMG I'm dying over these... I love them you all look so good! I now feel more confident about wearing mine March 20! I'll post mine when I'm home!
ps- @Miss.Skinner I had to do the same thing, I'm a street size 16 top 18 bottom (hoping to drop a size by the wedding) and the sample was a 6... I was like, rigghhhhhttttt. I was SO NERVOUS to try on the dress when it came in... and the bridal boutique people must REALLY know their stuff because it looked awesome, I was so happy!
@bluebutterfly I didn't see yours till after I posted- same goes for you :) I wish stores that offered larger sizes would have a floor size in like a 6 and a 22 or something, so that you had more of a chance to fit into it.
@kjpuggs i know it would have been great to try it on in something that was closer to my size!! I have to hold the material down in the pic since the skirt didn't go over my hips all the way it kinda bunched up and did ugly things....I had to use my imagination, but was able to see that once it is in my size it WILL look amazing!
@bluebutterfly same here, we found ONE dress big enough for me, which I had on for modesty, then she held mine over it. I messed around with the one that fit to make it more like the one I wanted (pulling it into a sweetheart, etc)
I wish I had the clamps like all the girls I knowwwwwwwww!
I'm glad this thread's here. I hope to be smaller when I go dress shopping ... but, well, it's not always practical to think that way ... and right now I'm definitely looking at being a full figured bride (which is weird for me just because Cam is so darn tiny ... )!

@KJPugs: Love the dress - you look fabulous! I had to tell you, I have almost the exact same pic with the boutique lady standing behind me, holding it on....geeeshh.....when will they just accept that at least half of their clientele needs a slightly bigger sample size?!?!?!

I love love love this thread! I wish I had seen this before I went dress shopping...there are some fabulous dresses for my size in this thread; I just kind of settled on one of the few I was able to try on that fit me bc I didn't want to order one I couldn't try on.

Can I just thank you all for sharing pictures of your dresses?? Dress shopping is probably the only thing I was not looking forward to with planning this wedding, thinking I would end up wearing a tent, but you have all proved that there are flattering dresses for bigger then "sample size" girls. Thank you!
Don't have a pic of it on me, but here it is directly from the WEBSITE i purchased i from.. i suggest any women to check it out, 2- 28 in size and are great quality, i was warry of ordering online, i had a backup dress picked out that was 5 times the cost at a local shop, only $199. and amazing.. i'm seriously in love tith the dress and never thought that would happen. although it was in the short dress section, i was looking for a tea lenght dress.. on me being 5'4'', it was perfect length, lol. probably would be tea length on someone taller then me. pics of the dress are below. website link is:

Hi girls-- I've cropped out a couple of pics of my dress, one from our wedding day, and one from our morning after shoot. My dress was Bambu by San Patrick-- I loved the delicate sleeves and v-neck, and that it wasn't "pouffy" at all. When I was dress shopping, I loved what the structured dresses did for my body (whoa, hourglass!), but I ended up falling in love (by just a pic online-- never got to see it in person before ordering) with my unstructured dress (which was basically just four layers of soft fabrics, with no boning or internal "help"). It definitely didn't make the best advantage of my curves, but it was just so soft and comfy and romantic! :)

Here's mine! I love it because the corset pulls everything in and makes my stomach nice and little. (Don't mind the weird cropped photo, we were trying to take sneaky pics in the dressing room.)
this is the one that i love... but to be honest i havent ordered yet... but unless i find something prettier which i dont think will happen this will be the one
Made a post a few months back with my dress, but just found this thread and thought I'd throw my hat (er... dress) in too. I tried on dozens and dozens of dresses before I feel in love with my Alfred Angelo lovely. I wish she had a prettier name, but here's my "1153"!!! Sorry I don't have photos of ME in the dress just yet.

daniellealys - Thanks so much! :) It's the corset, they just kept pulling and pulling and suddenly I had a teeny tiny waist. Sitting down may be a bit of a challenge but I don't mind!

@Sweetheartdealer - is that a Alfred Angelo R211 I see???? So is mine!! I am the same size range as you and I too feel like it takes me down to a 14... it's a maricle dress!

@kjpugs - Thanks so much!!! :) I really want to add some kind of pretty sash to it...maybe with a rossette or something? I don't want color though, just white. It's an Alfred Angelo 2034. It looks completely different on than the model picture that's for sure. I love it too. :)
