I've been wondering about this, too. My mom is on the heavier side (though at her WW meeting this past week she found out she's lost 26lbs since January- go mom!!) and almost all of her weight is in her stomach. (If she wasn't as old as she is you'd almost think she was pregnant.) I've been wondering what sort of style will look good on her, though I think she's put off shopping until she loses even more weight.
No pics here, but have you checked Nordstrom? From what I've read they are a great option.
I second Nordrtom. My mother found her dress there and they werer very helpful. She hated most of the MOB styles in other department stores. Those ones with the Bolero's are just hideous. She was very nervouse about finding a dress because of her mid section. She loves her dress.
Thanks ladies. Hopefully even if we don't find anything tomorrow, she'll at least see that there are styles out there she likes, and don't look like Laura Bush. She told me MOB dresses look like Laura Bush and were matronly. But she isn't a cocktail dress lady either... we shall see.

My mother is in misses sizes on the top, and womens sizes on the bottom. Most of her weight is in the mid section. she is super nervous about finding dresses to wear, and doesn't like most of the dresses that are marketed for mother of the brides (MOB as she likes to be called). Does anyone have pictures of their mothers, who may not be slim and slender, in their dresses?
We are going shopping tomorrow just to start getting ideas.
