Okay.. here is some background for you,
I have an IUD, endometriosis, PCOS, and insulin resistance (yipee!) I was on an induced menopause as a treatment for the endo. I’ve come out of that a few months ago and was on a hormonal patch to control my pain. For some reason, my skin broke out like never before and my OB/GYN put me on birth control. This totally messed me up .. like badly. I came off it and instantly felt better. I even stopped using my patch because I didn’t have any pain. Basically, I’m being proactive in regards to my fertility now so that when i do TTC I won’t have many issues.
I’ve been having pregnancy symptoms for like two weeks now.. My breasts were tender and enlarged (have since come down to normal size), nausea, grossed out by certain foods, feeling of bloating or fullness.. Although my chances of being pregnant are fairly slim to none I took a POAS. I read it at the two minute mark and it was obviously negative. 8 hours later I looked at it again and it read positive..
I’m probably just over reacting right? The box says not to read it after ten minutes.. I’m just paranoid. What are your suggestions/opinions?

if they box said don’t read after 10 minutes, it sounds like you shouldn’t read it after 10 minutes.

It probably is negative but maybe check again in a few days

@nemoandthebrain: I would take another test. It could be an evap line showing up. I don’t think @ajillity81: was trying to be snarky, we’ve seen a lot of tests that show faint lines hours after testing and it’s usually evap. Pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms are VERY similar so it could just be PMS symptoms since you’ve changed your BC methods and hormones might be out of whack. My breasts get tender and enlarged after ovulation every single month. When it first started happening I thought for SURE I was pregnant, but AF came right on time. I hope you feel better soon 🙂

i was not trying to be snarky, and i certainly woke up on the CORRECT side of the bed this morning.
I read it at the two minute mark and it was obviously negative.
8 hours later I looked at it again and it read positive..
The box says not to read it after ten minutes
Makes sense to me….

There’s a strong chance it was an evap line on the test, but also a small chance it was positive. Try again tomorrow 🙂
