Ah yes. Don’t pee right on them unless they are of the “midstream” variety. If they are the strips I’d suggest getting a paper or plastic cup to pee in, dip the test and then have somewhere flat and dry (and non absorbent) to place the stick while the test does it’s thing. I keep a small plastic shot glass in my make up bag at work and pee in that, and keep the test in there as well to let it do it’s thing. I go back about 5 mins after and check on it. 😉

Good luck! and yes, its going to be messy ha ha.

When using OPK’s I pee into a disposiable cup first then “swirl” the opK in the cup for 3 seconds. Read after 5 mins. I test 2 times a day! In the morning with my FMU and inthe evening after holding it for at leadt 3 hours. I always he an LH surge in the evening.

Good luck!

Put some Dixie cups in your purse and toss them in the sanitary napkin holder thingy!

Yeah, Wondfo’s you have to pee in a cup.  I keep a big box of Dixie cups in my bathroom and I just save the wrappers from the Wondfo to leave the stick on while it’s “developing.”

@cali_cat:  OK, I’ve been peeing on these things at work for like a year…

I just rip open the package, throw out the sillica gel pack thingy.  THEN you kind of just pull the two non-seamed side apart, and bingo, instant cup.  Pee in there, then dip the stick in.  Save the top part that you ripped off to set the stick on while it’s developing.

@SapphireSun:  That’s brilliant.

I have yet to use a OPK but the more info the better!

The ones I buy are a little weird. I have to pee in a cup then use the dropper that comes with the kit to put exactly 4 drops in as certain spot on the test and wait 1minute and it just seeps along the paper until it passes the area where there may or may not be lines. I just use a plastic Ikea cup that my mom gave me from when I was little and we have no use for (I couldn’t find anything disposable the first time I tried to POAS), this platic cup thing is a good idea. I think I’ll go buy some..

@SapphireSun:  This is what I do, too. I always buy my pregnancy tests from the Dollar Tree, and they’re the type that require “drops” rather than holding it under mid stream. This works great, because it doesn’t require a cup (and, I admit, I’ve tested in random locations, where it would’ve been difficult to track down a cup 😛 ).

@les105:  I used to eat a pudding cup every day for lunch, just so I’d have the cup to pee in and throw out… haha.  That was a much more delicious way of solving the problem but this way is probably better for my waist line.

@les105:  I buy mine at the Dollarama. I think that’s a Canadian version of the Dollar Tree. Although I have seen Dollar Trees popping up recently. Are yours in a flat white and purple box?

Dixie cups are my best friend when it comes to POAS’ing.  lol
