I just finished my final rough draft for my DIY pocketfold invitations from Paper & More. I have a dilemna though. Which direction should I put my pocketfold into the outer envelope? Which way do people normally take pieces of mail out of an envelope, from the right or the left?
Here’s what my invite looks like:
Now which one looks better?
I kind of like the second one better because its easier to get the flaps into the envelope, but I don’t want people to be taking it out upside down.

Am I crazy? What’s the difference? I can’t tell?!?

@bluebelle23 haha I just edited it because I accidently put the same pic up both times. Oops!

I say #2 because most people are right handed and will pull out the invite with their right hand.

Hahaha oh my gosh I’m so glad you posted this, I am having a similar debate about mine (which direction to have the RSVP cards/envelopes facing within the main invitation envelope – my sister thought I was insane) I’d say the second one since most people are right handed

I did ours like #2. Even if they do pull it out the wrong way, they will quickly flip it since there is a letter on it, which helps people orient. Don’t stress!

I put mine in with the fold first (like option 2). I tried to do it the other way at first and wanted to cut myself after stuffing about 10 of them lol.

@May2013Wedding: Thank you for posting this! I will inevitably stress about the same minute, insignificant detail. Like @NAvery said, even if people pull it out upside down, they’ll just flip it around. Not a big deal!

LOL, I forget most of the world are right handed. My being a lefty biases me toward #1.
