Writing their name directly on the rsvp card would solve that one.
i.e Mr. Soandso and Guest
__Accepts
___regrets
we arent inviting any "and guests" that we do not know.. so both names will be on the outside envelope.. the rsvp will say 2 seats reserved
Yeah on your response card say "___ seats have been reserved for Mrs. Smith" and fill in 2 then he knows he gets a plus one.
Thanks Bees! Such a simple solution... why didn't I think of that?!
We added a belly band around our pocket fold and wrote the names of the people invited on the band.
I just threw etiquette to the wind and addressed my pocket folds (with no inner envelope) as Mr. John Smith and Guest. So far no issues or confusion since some RSVP's are coming back indicating the guests name as Mr. John Smith and Suzy Jones.

I have a question about how to address my invitations which will be pocketfolds...
In traditional invites, the outer envelope is normally addressed to a single person as "Mr. Soandso" followed by the address and the inner envelope would normally read "Mr. Soandso and Guest", but with pocketfold invitations there is no inner envelope. My question is, how do I address the outer envelope in the situation while still indicating to the guest that they are invited with a plus one?
