We are doing RSVP postcards and pocketfolds. However we decided to go with the vertical pocketfolds (Cards & Pockets website has vertical ones) so we wouldnt have to make our 4×6 RSVP Posctard smaller to fit in the pocket. Good luck!

i’m using the signature… and we plan on using RSVP postcards as well. i’ve only seen that the 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 size postcards will work. which SUCKS because it’s so hard to fit the wording.. but i’m excited because the 5X7 size that we’re sticking by will be cheaper to mail, so it’s worth it. BUT we haven’t done a test run yet… i’ve just been looking at the standard sizes for postcards and what will fit into the pocketfold. i wonder if we email cards&pockets they’d be able to answer this? they seem like they have really good customer service, but i will admit, it’s quite a headache figuring this out!!

ok will do! i’m really close to emailing them about it. i will definitely let you know what happens, and if I do a trial run, I will let you know if I succeeded or not. I’m like 95% certain that it will work!

What are the other inserts you’re using? I want to do: a- about our website, a pretty quote & reception to follow, etc. b- directions and then c- is the postcard. i don’t really know how it’s going to work though because i was planning on fitting everything onto an 8.5×11 so i don’t need to waste paper. it’s sorta tricky figuring it out. any ideas??

i would think that putting it on your accomodations would be the most appropriate.

i tried uploading the illustrator file (saved as a jpg) so i could show you what i mean, but it’s not working. booo! but yeah, there’s a way if you lay it out.. doesn’t fit perfectly, so there will be some scrap papers but i figure that having to buy 75 sheets of paper would be much easier than having to buy 100 or so so that i could spread it out. i guess i am cheap lol. i also saw that vista prints has a lot of sales on postcards-sometimes free!! and i was thinking about how it’d look if we either cut it in half (which would be hard to design but whatever!) OR if we put the postcard behind the pocketfold and tie it together with a ribbon(?). i’m not sure i really like that idea… sorta defeats the purpose of a pocketfold! hopefully we’ll get a good response from cards&pockets!

Here is what was replied:::

Hello, and thank you for emailing!

3.5×5 (our RSVP card size) is the smallest possible postcard that can be mailed, so 3.5×5.5 should be fine.

I recommmend ordering a mock-up kit. You can play with the heights and see how everything goes together. We also provide recommended measurements for up to 5 inserts on the signature pocketfold page: http://cardsandpockets.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=91

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

she said that either the 3×5 (smallest postcard size) or 3.5×5.5 will work. so i’d say 3.5 since that will match the other sizes of my inserts… she also suggested getting one of mock-up kits. hope this helps
