For the guest book of our travel-themed wedding, we'd like to combine several ideas. I want to ask if you all think this is too complicated or if it's feasible. Here goes!
1-guests take photos of themselves with the polaroid camera
2-guests attach their photo to a blank "postcard" (On one side, there will be a piece of double sided tape and instructions to "please stick your photo here, write your name underneath and how you're related to the couple" The other side will say something like, "please write your message, some advice, or a recipe for the newlyweds!")
3-guests pin up their photo-cards to some string along the wall for all to enjoy. We'll have around 80 people, many of whom don't know each other/don't speak the same language. We hope this could be one way for people to get to know each other/break the ice.
My concerns is that this is too complicated and also, I don't know if people will want to spend time writing/holding onto their photos as they stand around chatting over a glass of champagne. Our day-of coordiator should be able to help us with this and afterward, we'd stick the cards into a cigar box as our "photo album."
What do you all think? I haven't been to that many weddings and would love some advice!
