Bridebee13:  I would add some extra apps to my cocktail hour, I voted other.  Without know much about what you have planned (i.e. how many courses/options for dinner, menu, etc) I’m not sure what I would upgrade.  The only thing I wish I could have added to my reception is a photobooth, but you’ve already got that 🙂

    I voted “other”

We’d add videography and likely also add uplighting.

Because I am have a major sweet tooth, I will be adding a dessert bar with a cake and grooms cake. It is also beneficial because I know that there are some of my guests that dont like cake (how and why, I do not know).

I am also including a bottle of Crown for my fiance, sangria for my mom and I, Tanqueray for my dad, and hopefully Labatts Blue for my brother. We are having an open bar, but its mainly for our guests.

I’d definitely spend money for more food or more booze.

I’m fine with a basic bar and don’t care about centerpieces, so I picked an extra course (I love pasta!!!) but more dessert options would be my second pick!

Great question! If I could go back in time I would have upgraded the quality of the table linens, plates/utensils, and would have rented Charger chairs. What we had was perfectly fine, especially for a destination wedding, but I’ve grown to really appreciate a luxury table setting at weddings.

As a guest, I would 10000% prefer a top shelf bar over a ‘well’ bar.  3 courses should be enough!!

To me, if your food and drink bases are covered, which it sounds like they are, I would upgrade the centerpieces, hands down. Decor can make a huge impact. The upgraded bar and the extra pasta would mean nothing to me.  Second choice would be the dessert bar.
