Mine was fairly boho-chic, which is kinda trendy now… but it’s also very ME, so I don’t think I will regret it.  Hopefully!

@clairelou29:  that dress looks great on you, trendy or not!

I kind of feel like most brides go for “timeless.”

But when we stand up to the test of time, a vast majority end up being “trendy” in the long run.

I am not picking either conciously. I am picking what will feel the most like MY wedding.

Ours was definitely classic. Everyone in tuxes, bridesmaids in ivory, ballroom filled with sparkly gold tablecloths and TONS of ivory flowers.

I think I was going for classic but I was a fair mix of both… silk mermaid dress w/ crystal buttons & bows + brooch bouquet + blingy high heels + classic updo  but then I swapped my bolero for a big blingy/pearly statement necklace too…

The men were pretty classic as well…

I hope I don’t look back and regret anything… I had a blast anyway! lol

My personal style is pretty streamlined and minimalist and that’s reflected in my wedding day look so I guess that is modern.  That said, my look is very romantic so that’s pretty traditional I think.

I’m attempting to be classic but definitely some “trendy” things in there. Our theme in general is nature… which is pretty classic… but we ARE using mason jars, so not sure how that will be perceived in the future. I had a trendy dress and recently switching to a more classic style.

I like the idea of being somewhat “trendy”, because my wedding happened in 2013, not any other year, and I kind of want it to show!  Like, I love seeing my parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos, because it not only captures their happiness, it captures the time period!  It’d be weird for people 20 years from now to have the same exact look as I did, and I’m totally okay with that.

@clairelou29:  Awwww, Thank you!  My Fi’s family is Asian and they have a tradition where the bride wears a red dress, which is a lucky color. I’ll be wearing it during my reception.  The red and cream dress are actually the exact same dress but the different colors makes them look so different.

@lolot:  Hopefully somewhat elegant and timeless.
