I just got asked out when grabbing a coffee the other day. Apparently that big old rock didn’t phase him in the slightest.

I’ve had it both ways. Total man repellent, and then some guy trying harder because he thinks it’s now a challenge.

I think if the person is interested enough, nothing will stop them.

I’ve been hit on many a time at a bar, and then as soon as they notice my ring-they’re always like “oh shit-I’m sorry! So tell me about your friend over there…” I’ve never experienced anyone continuing to pursue after noticing-but I will say that it’s funny how many guys will sit and talk to you about your ring and marriage, etc.

I never get hit on, even if I’m not wearing my ring.  I have the ultimate man repellant… A two year old kid. 🙂

Totalkaos1983:  Maybe it stops some but definitely not all. Even before FI and I got engaged I wore my purity ring (which was always confused for an e-ring) on my left ring finger and guys still approached me. I’ve been told that an e-ring means “almost too late” but since it’s not a wedding ring that means there may still be a chance. I do not agree with that perspective, although I can see the logic.

I have had some guys hit on me, at the mall or at a club, and they stop when they see my ring. “Woah, what is that? Are you engaged?” me: “better than that, I am married” 😉

I’ve still been hit on. What part of “I’m wearing a rock on my left ring finger” do they not understand? haha  I guess mine doesn’t look e-ring-ish enough.
