I don't know if I would want to use styrofoam for this. It might be a bit crumbly. What about using a small rectangular purse (like kid sized) and covering it? I think it would hold up better.
styrofoam defintely nightmare material to start cutting!!! stay awayyyyyyyyy.. good idea tho.. trapdoor style :)
Maybe a papier mache sphere that's covered (inside and out) with fabric and then covered in flowers? Definitely no cutting into styrofoam.

Hi all,
Having never made a pom/kissing ball, I'm wondering if this is feasible to make a hidden purse for the bride.
Cut the styrofoam ball at the top to form a "lid".
hollow out a portion of the remaing styrofoam ball and line it with satin or something.
Figure out a way to reattach the "lid" in a way thats feasible.
Proceed with normal ball making.
Any thoughts?
