i dont’ have any personal experience with Pompeii3. But all of the rings you listed have a clarity of I1 or I2. So I don’t know if you really will be getting more ‘bang for your buck’ with that clarity, as the stone may look quite cloudy.

Maybe ask around for sales at your local jewelry stores?

@Hdee:  we ordered from there and the diamonds were sooooo tiny they didn’t even sparkle or look like diamonds. It looked nothing like the pictures!! So we sent it back. I wouldn’t recommend buying from there but the choice is yours. This is the ring we bought but I don’t have a pic of it in person because we literally got in the car and took it back to the post office…

@Kafrine:  tiny diamonds still sparkle! I have half point melee diamond pave on my ring that are VS-VVS clarity and they sparkle like crazy.

The reason why Pompeii melee doesn’t sparkle is because of the awful clarity. I1-I2 pave will just look dark and dull.

@Hdee:  if I was to compromise on quality to save money, I would just buy from Lord of Gems or similar online retailer.

@Hdee:  not a hassle at all, received full refund within 5 days!

@letigre:  yes that’s what I meant they are so small and terrible quality that there is no sparkle 🙁

@Hdee:  Is that $1500 for the wedding set? I just built a similar ring on James Allen:

My ring from there had poor craftsmanship and the diamonds were cloudy and lifeless. That said, they are priced fairly for what you get (IMO) and you will get genuine diamonds.

The top pic is theirs from the site, the bottom is the ring in real life.

@Hdee:  James Allen only collects sales tax in NY and Maryland. I don’t know where you’re located, but try playing with their engagement ring builder. I added a matching band to the set and it’ll be ~$1800, no taxes. The diamond is GIA certified, and probably similar if not better quality than the Shane&Co one. I think what the bulk of your budget will be going to is the setting and wedding band if you want sidestones.
