So I had an off-site work meeting late this morning, but since it was near my town and I have an hour commute, my boss said I didn’t have to come in. So I planned to run some trails right near where the meeting was, planning to shower at the campground. I did this a few times over the summer and it worked out well. Well first the leaves obliterated the trail so I couldn’t tell where to go. So I opted to run on the road nearby. I got in 6 miles with just enough time to shower, change and dry my hair. Well, the campgrounds closed for the season two weeks ago, even though the trails are still open. So I could either find a place to wash up oOtto in sweaty and smelly. I finally located a camp bathroom, thankfully for a single occupant. I washed up from the sink with soap the best I could. The worst was trying to wash my hair in a shallow sink with a low faucet that you had to continuously press on to get any water out. And after all that when I tried the outlet for my blow dryer it didn’t work. Thankfully there was a painted over reset button so it ended up working. At least I got my run in and now I know to double check whether utilities are open/working before counting on them.
