Yeah, I didn't have a great David's Bridal experience. I got a pushy consultant who kept on asking me why I didn't like this dress, or why I didn't like that dress. Other people have had great service there. MOST of the shops that I went to though offered great service and the consultants were very helpful and not on my back to make a purchase today.
I've had bad service with David's Bridal here in Washington two of the three times I've gone there. The first time I went in was before I had kids, I was probably a size 2 and they were super nice and helpful. The second time, was after my first daughter, I had gained some weight and was no longer a size 2 to say the least and they were very rude! I stood around in the store for 20 minutes, no one helped me. When they finally did, they rushed me through trying on dresses, the girl helping me told me they looked awful and I shouldn't even bother going to look in the mirror, it wasn't worth it. The second time, I called because I saw online they had a BEAUTIFUL dress on sale for $50, so I figured for $50 I could deal with the bad service. They had one left and it was in my size, they said they'd put it on hold for me. She even told me she had it in her hand and would put it behind the counter. I left the house right away to go there and again, I stood there waiting for probably 20 minutes before someone helped me and when they finally did, they couldn't find the dress. The person I talked to never put it on hold and actually sold it to someone else right before I got there! They said there was nothing they could do and it probably wouldn't have fit me anyways! I couldn't believe it! I feel they've gotten ruder since I gained a bit of weight. Needless to say, I'll never shop there again.

Hi gals!
New to boards so just trying to make myself comfortable with everyone!
I scheduled my first dress shopping at David's Bridal in Lafayette, Louisiana for next Tuesday, which is Valentine's Day. I looked online for reviews of the store and all of them were BAD.
This week I went in to get a color swatch to make sure the flowers I fell in love with at Hobby Lobby & Michael's will match the color I want for my bridesmaid dresses. So while inside, I noticed there were several consultants walking around, however, not one of them came up to us to ask if we needed help or anything.
We waited in line at the front check out counter for about 10 minutes for someone, but this one group of 3 ladies came up behind us and asked one consultant a question and then 2 other consultants came up and all three of them left with the group of three that was behind us.
Needless to say I was not happy and just felt like the customer service was just like the reviews said.. so now I am very nervous about how I am going to be treated when I go in on Tuesday to dress shop.
Has anyone else had any bad experiences dress shopping?
