Wow, are our mothers identical? I’m keen to do blush pink shoes and my mum just said “No.”  Full stop.

@FoxyBride14:  Agree!  I wish I’d asked her why she was so dead against it but knowing my mother and knowing how frustrated I get at her “ways” I steered the conversation away from the topic pronto 😛

@FoxyBride14:  My mother was dead against me doing anything but white or ivory shoes and I wanted a color! so I went for silver just to spite her lol.

I’m wearing light blue shoes.  My mom loves them, but if she had told me I had to wear ivory shoes I would have said “Too bad” and worn whatever I wanted.

What!!!?? Wear whatever you want! Colorful shoes are fun and beautiful – almost nobody sees them most of the time, but then you get a peek and it’s like “whoa, pretty out of nowhere.”

@FoxyBride14:  I quite like the idea.  I would love my FW to do it, but she doesn’t like it so I’m pretty sure she’s wearing shoes to match her dress – though we’re bothing keeping everything under wraps to be revealed on the day.  I’m also very happy with white shoes, but I think the pop of colour is a great idea.  Do bright purple Chuck’s 😛

@FoxyBride14:  These are the ones I bought:

Bought them even before the dress so I could have them to try on at my appointments!

@FoxyBride14:  @goingtotherooftopoflove:  maybe you can wear a white or ivory shoe for the ceremony to appease your mothers and then wear a colourful shoe of your choice for the reception and dancing.

that sounds like a reasonable compromise to me.

btw, i wore fuschia pink shoes and everyone loved them, including my mother.
