Hello my busy little bee's :)  Long time no post!

My fiance and I have been toying with the idea of making a big change ...a destination wedding! woo!

hhaha..yeah well, what I was trying to check out was some sort of a"summery" and "beachy" but still somewhat ...a traditional wedding dress for a beach wedding!

anyone have any ideas for me? I may or may not be "plus size" by that time.. because of hte surgery I had, but i'm hoping not to be.. just in case I am.. i'd probably need suggestions for both plus size and ..not...and i realy know nothing about buying/measuring/purchasing for a smaller size. Anyway, i'm looking for some dress suggestions for a beach wedding, it'd be somewhere on Outer Cape Cod, Mass... on the ocean or the bay.

I do want something long.. full length, i have seen a lot of dresses that are knee length or a little longer, maybe tea length. I am thinking that I would definitely want floor length. I was thinking of having something a bit more formal for the actual ceremony and then change into something lighter?

I'd love any feedback you guys have..! and thank you so much :)

    xoxo,

    Aimee

p.s. sorry about the hairbrained, rushed post.. i'm late for work but couldnt get on the site yesterday all day for some reason? please pardon any typos!

Maggie Sottero has a line of destination dresses. There are lots of long, flowy, beachy gorgeous ones. My wedding dress was actually a "destination" dress so they can go both ways. Mine wasn't heavy, either!

The Sophia silk tricotine dress from J Crew would be perfect!  I just tried it on on Saturday and I just wrote a blog post today all about the dress and how it fit, here's the link:  http://stacymaried.blogspot.com.

    Hope this helps, good luck!

Thank you girls.. i will check it out!  the orig. dress that I fell in love with but have not found in a store yet to try on is here:

It's an Alfred Angelo and its truly beautiful. But I'm thinking its a bit too heavy for a beach wedding.. although, if I could find one, i could wear that at the ceremony and then do something very light for the reception. I'm really not sure yet but a lot of the ideas will help me form my decision.

    Thanks so much :)

    xoxo

Agree with J. Crew.  Their wedding dresses are quite beach-y and also really reasonably priced in my opinion.

I love JCrew for beach dresses, that's probably what I'm going to do. Another popular choice seems to be Nicole Miller.

Nicole Miller has great dresses.  Also, I got my destination wedding dress from Watters WToo - check them out!
