Alrighty, so I know I’ve already started 2 other threads this week whining about how my SO will likely be moving away in September, and how I’m struggling to stay positive because I’m not sure if I can go with him.
Welp, today might have just been my lucky waiting day, Ladies! I was browsing the bee, and came across a post where a fellow bee had replaced her e-ring and was wondering what kind of w-band to compliment it best with. Her new e-ring is a peach sapphire set in rose gold with pave diamond shoulders, and a skinny band (once I re-find the thread I’ll link so you can see, it’s GORGEOUS).
Anyway, this FANTASTIC bee wrote where she got the ring from, and I couldn’t resist. Rose gold has been my top choice for over a year now, and I’ve been leaning away from the ‘traditional’ diamond also for a while, and more towards my slightly quirky, but elegant style. Anyway, so I looked “Eidelprecious” up on Etsy and I WAS NOT disappointed.
The rings are absolutely TO DIE FOR. And SO was sitting in the room, and I was so flabberghasted by how beautiful they were, I broke my unofficial SIUP with myself. I said “Oh my Gosh, baby, come here you have to see this, it’s amazing.” Even though he was working on an assignment, due tomorrow, he came over and looked with me. I showed him the one that got to me the most, and then a few other ones too.
I’m happy becuase even though he was busy he took a few moments to indulge me; shows what a sweety he is.
I’m happy because he seemed shocked that I didn’t want a big ring (even though I thought I’d made it explicit before, now it definitely is)
AND most of all I’m happy because I think I’ve helped settle his nerves about this being such a terrifying financial thing. The ring I loved best on the website was JUST over $1000. He seemed REALLY surprised that it was that inexpensive. So, fingers crossed that (although I still know it won’t be ‘soon’, it might be ‘sooner’ than a billion lightyears away).
