Congratulations! We just closed last week too. I don't know the answer to your question but I would ask your real estate agent. I wouldn't think it would change anything though...
@His Barista: Yay!!! So exciting :)
we were suppose to close on Friday but it's been pushed back another month...boo. But I can't answer your question, I do know it's common to keep switching banks. From my understanding, it won't effect anything.
So exciting, congratulations!!! As for the loan being sold, that is a really common thing and it shouldn't affect anything as far as you go. I know that once we close our loan is going to be sold to another company
when my bf and I bought our house we signed the offer in jan, a whole ton of problems through B of A, had to chnage banks twice! then we finally closed in september under special circumstances (escrow money for repairs).. but now its all settled! I wish you the best, and much less headache!
We have an appointment to sign the paper work in a couple hours! Then we get keys tomorrow for sure!
I know it's common to sell to other banks, but Bank Of America isn't popular over here and I always hear about issues with them.
I'm hoping they won't give us any problems!
@His Barista: I have had a BoFA refinanced mortage for a couple of years now, and a Home Equity line with them. It's been easy (once it was all approved), and I guess no better or worse than dealing with any giant-behemoth corp. whose left hand doesn't often know what the right is doing.
I got a lower rate by signing up for auto-pay, so I just check each month (well my Fiance does now) to make sure the payment went.
If you you have a Bank of American Bank account you can also make extra principal payments whenever you want.
The only issue I had was when I wanted to change the auto-pay, because they had re-organized things since I got my mortgage and I got the royal transfer-around before they finally found someone to help me.

We are all done...and we have the keys! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

We get to begin moving in tomorrow! = )
Thanks! We are so excited to be done with the buying process! I just heard our Realator was afraid it would fall through! Talk about stressful!

Well, looks like we are in the final stage of approval. From what I hear we will sign some time tomorrow and fund/get keys on Thursday (right on time). I'm a little annoyed we don't know what time we will be signing yet, since I work all afternoon. I pushed back my schedule hoping we can get in early before I start work at 11ish. This is so stressful!
I am a little upset. Wells Fargo Currently owns the loan we will sign, but after a few of our payments, they will sell the loan to Bank Of America. I just learned of this today. I have not heard anything good about B of A's loans...
for those of you who have a Mortgage through B of A, is it okay? Do they give you any problems? Should I be worrying about this?
