Advice: tell yourself it isn't going to happen. Get excited for the weekend anyway. Then, if it does, you will be pleasantly surprised. (I know, easier said than done, right?)

Hi ladies,
I know I haven't really posted since my "i feel like i'm losing my mind post", but I have been reading and am so excited for everyone who got engaged! i think I mentioned before that my boyfriend had said last february that we would be engaged by the end of the year. Well it's getting close! I know it wont happen over Christmas or New Years for several reasons so really this is the last weekend of the month it could happen. However I am trying to control myself because I don't want to be upset if it doesnt happen. Previously he said it would happen before his birthday and it didn't. Also, the other day he said out of nowhere "by the way you are wrong. It only takes two days to get a ring sized if you pay extra". I am thinking, sure, until something goes wrong, and what is so difficult about planning ahead? If it doesnt happen this weekend i don't want to be down about it. Anyone have any advice on how to stay cheery if it doesnt happen? Because I will be tempted to give him the evil eye and then cry, and I don't want this to ruin my Christmas spirit.
