Woke up this morning again feeling awful so DH forced me to go to the dr today after passing out from the pain :( Apparently endo can be freaking anywhere in you which is something I didn't really know (even your lungs or nasal cavity!). Now, lucky me, the doctors think that it is growing in my intestines which is making eating a very unpleasant experience since it is irritating it and making me cramp after I eat. Have any of you ladies heard of this or gone through this? How in the world do they get rid of it? I know when it is other places they do the laparascopy which is what I had before, but wtf is with it being in somewhere like your intestines?? Ugh! I hate this. How in the world am I ever supposed to hold a job? I just started one like 2 months ago and am already missing work! Sure I have dr notes but it doesn't stop it from being a reason to fire me or be frustrated with me.

i always thought that endo was strictly within the reproductive organs.. so this is news to me. sorry that you have to go through this though!

@bells - I know! I knew it could be in your abdominal cavity but when I was having cramping issues after I was eating I totally just figured it was IBS or something. I had no idea that the big jerk I refer to as 'endo' could even have anything to do with it :/

Edit: I think my info is wrong! This is intriguing I am going to look more into it tomorrow!

I'm wondering if the doctor meant that it is on the outside of your intestines.  That can still make you have cramping from the excessive bleeding.  I'm guessing they will still probably want to do a lap to check things out to see if they can remove any tissue.  You have been diagnosed with endometriosis before correct?

@MissAsB: Yeah could have meant on the outside of them - not really sure to tell you the truth because I was just confused in general since I went in thinking I had IBS. And yeah, I finally got diagnosed with endo last year after my lap. I'm going to see a specialist in endo in 2 weeks so I guess I'll figure out more then.

Good luck!  Feel free to PM me, I was diagnosed with it 5 years back now and they are still afraid of taking me off BC because of it.  Yuck.
