Ok, well since I did a post for the things you regret, how about the things you don't regret spending a chunk of change on.
1. Tiffanys mesh band ring (I wear it everyday!)

2. Seven A jeans (I had these for four years before I had to get rid of them because they were so worn in....I should get another pair ! haha)

I spent $300 on a pair of Chanel Sunglasses. Everyone thought I was crazy b/c they are plastic.
But let me say, i bought these babies 5 years ago and I still LOVE them and LOVE wearing them! Now thats money well spent!
@AnnieAAA: I have a pair of Chanel sunglasses too. And I've also had them about 3 years now and have no plans to replace them with something else.
Lately I've been thinking my foam roller is the best $20 I've spent in a long time. I'd been putting off spending money on one forever and got a good deal... that thing has done wonders for my knee pain and IT band.
I also bought my fiance a sweatshirt on an impulse buy. We were at a college football game at his school, he got cold, and I got him a sweatshirt at the stadium. It cost 60 or 70 bucks but is so warm and comfy and he wears it almost every day... unless I steal it.
I bought a classic Louis Vuitton bag the day I graduated college. Granted it was only two years ago, but that bag has paid for itself, over and over, with as often as I use it! It truly was a splurge, but definitely worth it!
Our apartment! People always say we're wasting money by spending so much on rent, but it's really only $300-$400/month more than the average for our area and I love our home. I'm looking at this view of the ocean from my desk as I'm working from home right now. We also get a free gym and olympic sized pool to boot!
The $5 I spent on a laser pointer to play with our dog was the best $5 I've spent in a while. She'll chase that silly red light back and forth and back and forth and back and forth (you get the idea...) accross the apartment and then she's all worn out and calm for a while. Plus, it hilarious to watch her try to catch/eat the light! :)
My Rav 4! When I first bought it, it was way out of my budget. It was about my annual salary at the time and it was the most basic model. Well several years later its still running strong, getting me through the snow, hauling my bikes, hauling dogs. I'm glad I splurged on a car I can drive for years and years rather than buying something I hated but could afford and then trading it in the moment I got a promotion.
My Pottery Barn (outlet) couch. It's over five years old and I just had a friend ask if it was brand new (thanks to the washable everydaysuede covers)!
My Macbook. I love it, my FI is jealous of it. It's name is Mac. I LOVE IT!!!
My 4-Runner, my two Tiffany rings (i bought them about 10 years ago and wear them at least 5x a week, my Dolce & Gabana black Jackie O-type sunglasses and moving to a new apartment (rent is about $200 more a month, my commute was extended a bit, but it's a new apartment complex and in a much safer neighborhood).
My and SO's bed. I bought the mattress and boxframe, and he bought the metal frame and the linens.
I paid about $2300 and it is seriously the best investment I ever made. It's king size, so there's tons of space for both of us, and it literally sucks your energy out as soon as you lay your head down. EVERY night we find ourselves saying, "God, I love this bed."
When we have friends visit they always want to lay down on the bed. It's that good.
My BlackBerry, My Ray Ban Aviators, annnd every pair of boots I own (probably 10 pairs) becuase when you live in a state thats cold the majority of the year you have to keep your feet warm while looking cute!
My iPad, a pair of Dior sunglasses (10 years old and still look fab :) plus a $400 Dualit toaster. Not the most exciting purchase but it's lasted a really long time and it looks like a piece of art on my kitchen counter :)
700 thread count sheets, my iPOD (use it every day), and $250 for my cat!
My Kindle!! I love it so much - it was a splurge for me (what can I say, I'm cheap!) and I saved up birthday and Christmas money for it, and I got it a gorgeous green leather cover. It's awesome.
My iPhone, my Prada sunglasses, and my coach purse/wallet. I LOVE all of them, they last forever, and they were totally money well spent. Oh, and my car too! :-)
My drumset. It was a basic model, on sale, and still cost $1200. My god, drums are expensive. But I <3 it so much! I also pay for once-a-week lessons with an awesome teacher. Speaking of which, I need to practice to get my money's worth!
Next, my iPhone 4. I love that thing.
And most recently, my Ugg Rockville boots. They look like rugged motorcycle boots on the outside, feel like fuzzy Uggs on the inside! I think I've worn them every single day since I bought them.
I have a love for Longchamp purses and I have never regretted any of them (which is four purses, one make-up bag, one coin purse, and one mini make-up or misc. items bag). I usually try to get them on sale or at international airports.
My car. 2011 Ford Fiesta, and it gets around 42mpg on the highway. I feel like I never buy gas anymore and it's sooo fun to drive! :)
I got lasik surgery to correct my vision 10 years ago. It was a lot of money at the time but my Mom said I probably would have it done one day so I might as well go ahead with it. So glad I had it done! But as far as material possessions go, I bought purple couches when I was single and guess what, myhusband doesn't mind that they are in our sitting room now!
@bohemianbailie:Where/when do you find Longchamp bags on sale. I want one!
@MsGolightly: What kind of bed do you have, I'm interested to know!
I love all of my True Religions. (Hug) Made in USA and worth every penny.
I love my super expensive purebred Montana GSP ($700 5 years ago- don't get me wrong, I would love my dog and any dog if it cost nothing at all- she was just really expensive esp. at that time, and turned out to be worth it. I don't necessarily think expensive dogs are better, it was just a ridiculous spend and she is worth it to me.)
My Patagonia down jacket. Worth every warm wonderful penny!!!!!
My vintage Ted Lapidus Sunglasses (with rhinestones) for my wedding :)
My vintage Hermes bag, my Armani sunglasses, and my vintage Chanel shoes. I have women stop me and ask where I got the shoes all the time, LOVE IT. I have also had alot of women ask if my purse is fake or if I bought it from one of "those" purse parties, UM NO, I bought it from the old lady (friend of the family) who had it made while they were in Europe many years ago. She even gave me the original receipt so if anything happens to it I can get it fixed, YYYYYAAAAYYYYY.
I will put them up tomorrow, they are in the bedroom and the FH is sleeping (he was cranky all day).
I went slightly above budget on my apartment rent and so happy I did! It is my first and last apartment living by myself, so it was worth it :)
After reading this thread, I regret not buying the B.Makowsky boots that were on QVC last week. They would have been a good investment! lol
our 50 gallon fish tank setup!! (its expensive to start and keep running but its so beautiful and everyone always comments on it :)... TV's... we have a 2 bedroom house and there is a tv in both bedrooms and the living room... they are all 40 inches plus... i know... but we do use them!
oh! and my pup! the best 50 bucks (plus vet bills, hundreds in toys and accessories, and damages to my 90 dollars jeans) i have ever spent! :)
Does my house count? Blew the budget on it by about 20%, but totally love it - every empty room... since I didn't leave any money to furnish it with!
And I still looooove my red lv wallet I got over two years ago. I've used it everyday since I got it, and it still looks brand new.
My bedding out here. The best buy ever! I bought really really soft sheets, a great pillow, mattress pad/top, a down comforter and duvet cover. LOVE IT! After 16hrs at work, I get back to my room, jump in bed and fall right to sleep. And hopefully I'll never use it again after I get back home. :)
Good thread. I didn't have any big ticket money regrets so I'm glad to see this one.
1. My Dooney purses, I keep wearing them, over and over again!
2. My house, I was nervous when I paid that much money to someone, but the benefit of no house payment comforts me each day when I come home and comforts me for our future.
@MacFaniam24: Kingsdown is the brand, Beethoven is the model. I don't know if they make the Beethoven anymore, but you should seriously take a look at the Kingsdown mattresses the next time you need to buy a bed. This is their website: www.kingsdown.com
My dog! People think its ridiculous how much i spent on him, but ever since i decided to become a dog owner i knew a French Bulldog was for me...
And the fact that he makes me laugh every single day with his goofy personality, and loves me no matter what- makes him worth every single penny :)
@MacFaniam24: At Bloomingdales at the change of season they will have the last season colors on sale, it is never black or the navy color but either way they will have great deals IMO and the small bags work so great for things like makeup for traveling and what not.
@BellBride OMG, he is precious!!!
The best thing I've spent money on was the delivery fee for groceries when I lived in Manhattan - it was worth an extra $10 not to schlep 70lbs of cat litter up the stairs!
Let's see... My Marc Jacob;'s Aviators... TO DIE FOR!
My Rich and Skinny Jeans (I have about 6 pairs)---the best jeans I have ever worn.
My Wedding dress---DUH!!
My Jeffrey Campbell wedge booties (I believe they're on the Urban Outfitter's Site)
My Snowboarding Equipment
and my HONDA RUCKUS! (BEST SCOOTER EVER!)
