@QuickCharge: What do you mean is it suppose to be funny?
@LadyLimeGreen: I think it is really sweet! I love your ring, it is beautiful! & This means more money for your wedding/wedding band!! :-)
My proposal story goes a little something like this..
We had just went to church & my husband was dropping me off at my moms house. We was standing in her driveway, kissing/hugging when he looked me straight in the eyes, close to my face & asked me if I would marry him! He didn't have a ring or anything but knew what he wanted & that was to be with me for the rest of his life! We are now married & about to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary & 5 year dating anniversary which are only 4 days apart! :-)
Here are my rings:

@QuickCharge: He said "I know I am not the happiest person to be around." Meaning he is not perfect, not that HE isn't happy.
& I have read posts where bees have done this before. (Switching the ring over.) & Some people do this in their culture.
@QuickCharge: Different strokes for different folks, right? :-)
& Yes, OP congratulations!!!!
Haha yes it a serious post :)
and thank you Mrs. Estep :) your rings are beautiful!! Your engagement is so sweet! and an early congrats to your one year wedding anniversary ;)
wow. Not a fake just excited :) sorry I go about things a little differently. Each person has different things that matter to them (like rings) and he balances me out. I'm silly, he is down to earth and has a lot more common sense with sillyness thrown in. Thats okay if its not your thing :)
No need to attack eachother though :/
They are probably very special to her. So it shouldn't matter how many times she posts them or where. Sure if you see them a lot then it is probably annoying but that doesn't mean we need to write angry/upset/annoyed posts. :/
*hugs to everyone*
@LadyLimeGreen: Congratulations!!!!! Very sweet proposal story! :) I used to live in Northern CA and I'm super jealous of your fun anniversary date in Monterey. I loooove that area! Do you live near there? For awhile I was thinking about having a destination wedding in Monterey so I researched all sorts of budget friendly options - let me know if you need any info. for that area!
@Mrs.Estep: Your proposal story is very sweet too! Congrats on your one year anniversary, it's right around the corner!
Holy rudeness Batman.
Mrs Esteps rings are more important and more gorgeous than the hope diamond because of the love they represent.
Also- CONGRATS OP! Welcome to the world of wedding planning- please don't be deterred by one mean poster- this place is nice 99% of the time.
@LadyLimeGreen: Congratulations on your engagement :)
@Mrs.Estep: Thank you for sharing your proposal.. I had not heard it and I think it was sweet. btw, I love your rings and the fact that you love them.. post away :)
@78h2o thank you :) it is an awesome area! there is always so much to do and see! I live about 3 hours away from there and I think we are going to have the wedding at my grandparents in Redding but thank you so much for the offer. :) That would be an amazing place ot get married.
Iguanatan - Haha I figured as much :) and thank you!
cherrydoll - Thank you :)
@LadyLimeGreen: The only thing I know about Redding is that it's sort of close to where I got married (Ashland, OR). :) My photobooth people came from Yreka and I highly recommend them. I know they go to Redding. They charge $675 for 4 hrs. but I only had them for 2 hrs. for $400... they were actually there the whole time (set up beforehand) but the booth was only open for 2 hrs. Everyone loooved the photobooth. http://www.paigemichels.com/ My videographer was also great for the price ($1000). www.lotusmotionpictures.com
Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the usually crazy supportive and welcoming Bee :)

Both of your stories and rings are AMAZING, but I'm sure you already know that :)
Hi all!
Sorry for the troll, please just ignore their comments completely in the future because they seem to thrive off of them. Thanks!
@LadyLimeGreen: Welcome to the bee, you will have loads of fun here, and thanks or sharing your story! :)
What a sweet story, your proposal was super cute! :D I came home all sweaty from groceryshopping and had a sickness coming on, but it was totally amazing when he did propose. :)
78h2o: Ooo I love Oregon! :) So pretty up there. And thank you for the tips/links/prices :)

I am apologizing in advance for the uber long post but I'm just super excited about it all and had to share!
My now fiance :) proposed on November 2, 2011. Due to the fact I am still in school and have 15 units this semester I haven't had much time for anything wedding related quiet yet, and have been told I am not aloud to get really involved until christmas break haha. But I cannot wait anymore! I had to share :) or at least do something besides google wedding dresses for hours ;) bahaha. So I guess starting with posting my engagement would be a good place to start!
Me and my fiance have been together for four years as of November 1. For our anniversary this year we went to Moneteray and spent a lovely day going to the mission, then to the aquarium, then to dinner, and then to a beach. We have been talking about getting married and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together from very early on in our relationship so it was really just a matter of waiting until my SO thought it was a good time. (I am more of the spontaneous "there is no perfect time so lets just do it" kind of person and have been ready for this for 2 years, but my SO is more into the common sense side and wanted to make sure we could be done with school, have jobs, be able to save for a house, etc. which is one of the many reasons I love him but still it was a long wait! haha)
Anyways, on our anniversary trip I didn't suspect anything because
A.) My family hadn't been acting weird (which he told me he was going to ask my dad for permission, which would mean my mom would know, and therefore my whole family would know)
B.) He wasn't acting weird
and
C.) We tend to do silly things for our anniversaries that include sunsets, beaches, and romantic places as a normal thing.
I suppose I suspected a little. He had been talking more about wedding related things recently but at dinner he asked our waiter where a good beach was and for him not having planned that out wasn't something he seemed like he would do before he proposed. However, we went to that beach and it was beautiful. We brought a blanket to sit on and were watching the sun go down and then he got up and stood there smiling at me like he knew a secret. I kind of sat there smiling at him until it occurred to me I should probably stand up to because I think he is about to propose! So I stood up and he gave me a hug and then said "I have something to ask you." and then he got onto one knee and grabbed both my hands. At which point I realized it really was happening. He gave me a little speech (beginning with "I know I am not the happiest person in the world to be around...and including things about how I really do make him happy and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me..) but the whole time I kept thinking "I really wish he would just ask already so I can say yes!!!" I wish I would have been able to really sit still and pay attention to his speech because it was so sweet and perfect but I just couldn't help it! haha.
Anyone else have this issue? :)
But in the end I finally got to say yes. He didn't have a ring because he had previously gotten me one the year before and told me he decided to just use that one and I could move it over to the correct finger instead of my middle one (which he was super excited about :) ). I was a little disappointed but then I thought about it and it made sense since he needs to save his money for school and I absolutely love my ring, so moving it over just made sense. :) So heres the ring:
I would love to see others rings/proposal stories too! :)
