thanks, ladies! i think it's a veil-during-ceremony, but bolero-at-dinner kind of situation.
yes! it's MissOmally's bolero! but ... i can't figure out who made it. (i mean, it's kind of irrelevant now, since i got my own made.... but... but... curiosity killed the cat!)
ohhhh yeah!! I know... hehe... i was just curious too! :P
Still, I love yours! I couldn't ever commit to a design, so I passed on a bolero. I love them tho!
Anyone have a picture of Miss Omally's? It sounds like the one I have had in my head but can't find!
So it doesn't drive you nuts, I'm pretty sure her bolero was from Monique Lhuiller
Here's a similar one (although the bead distribution on this one is a little different, but if you google Monique Lhuiller Bolero you can find the same picture she posted) http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/9102/Monique-Lhuillier-Snow-White-Gown---Celestine-Bolero-Jacket-Size-2.html
That said, I LOVE what you had made, I think it's so beautiful!
thanks so much, DilemmaBride! that's it! isn't it gorgeous? it does settle me back into loving my own, tho..... since i never ever could have afforded it, anyway! THANKS for the detective work!
I love the bolero!! I'd like to see how it turns into a veil? It's a neat concept!
oh, hahah! no, it doesn't turn into a veil. i just might wear the veil alone during the ceremony, then take off the veil after the ceremony and put on the bolero. sorry i was confusing.
hahaha...my bad!! It would have been neat if it could do that...like a bubble veil I guess! Sorry I miss understood!
@Sleepylittlesailor - HI!! My bolero was made by Monique Lhuillier. Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it was crazy expensive! The one you got is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the fluffiness of it! You're going to love it. It definitely can jazz up a dress and make it a little unexpected. Best wishes! And I can't wait to see pictures of you in the dress and bolero.
@Stlginko - Here are pictures of my bolero.
Wow Missomally that is beautiful and its so nice of you to share! You're pictures are gorgeous too!
Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics! Damn now I'm going to get my heart set on something crazy expensive.... :( (oh well I'm thinking it wil be worth it!)
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Love it! it's so light and airy.

(Sorry I've had troubles putting up this thread.)
Ok, so, I said I'd post whatever bolero I ended up getting, after doing a "which bolero should I wear" poll about two weeks ago.
Here's what I had made via Etsy. It's bone-ivory tulle, with ruffled shoulders. I'm wearing it with Watters 4049b, a bone-ecru all-cotton-lace (aka crochet lace) sheath.
PS: I actually saw a bolero I liked better, here on Wedding Bee, but never could find out what it was. It was a sheer (organza or chiffon-looking) white puffed-sleeved little jacket, scattered with tiny pearls. Some WB blogger bride was wearing it in a field, with mountains in the background. Sigh, it was perfect.....
