It may be an issue with the sizing. You may also want to check that the bands are flat (sit flat on the counter). A slight bend may leave a gap as well. I would talk to the jeweler about it and see what they say.

my setting is a bit raised so there is not a gap… but i think that with your setting there will be a bit of a gap.  as you can see in the pic below, having the head raised makes it look a bit less streamlined, but i think i’ll appreciate it when i do have a wedding band.

Slight gap and all, your set is beautiful! You might actually appreciate the slight gap in the future because it looks as the diamond girdles on your ering and weddingbands will rubagainst each other, potentially causing damage. I could be wrong. It depends on how much metal there is. Again, what a very fluid and beautiful set! I like when the head of the ring is incorporated in the shank like yours.

@FutureMrs.Wood:  i agree with liking the look of the head incorporated in the shank. profile view of my ring is something i’ve had to “learn to love” lol.

@sleepyhead22:  My ring is like yours, too. It is nice because it does allow for a flush fit wedding set. Oh, I’ve learned so much about what I mind/don’t mind, prefer/don’t prefer since I’ve gotten my rings. Jewelers should let women sample rings for a week, haha.

@FutureMrs.Wood:  hahaha i so totally agree! you just can’t get a realistic idea of what wearing a ring will be like from trying it on, especially not with the pressure of shopping messing with your head lol.

@Fallicious1012:  Thank you for your reply.  It is excatly what I hope we end up with (but a size 6 for my boyish finger).  I didn’t realize shopping for rings was such a process.   I hope everything gets worked out with the gap.  Although I wouldn’t be to worried about it, it is a very pretty ring!!! Congrats!   🙂
