Okay, I'll start. I actually know this photographer personally after writing a profile on him for one of my last jobs. Amazing guy, Amazing talent! His name is David Jay, and I used this photo as the inspiration for my wedding invites :)

That looks almost like The Lion King pride rock thingy! Gorgeous.
It's in Sedona and it's called Merry-Go-Round rock. You need a 4x4 to get up there, but I'm determined to get up there for some shots!

Arizona, shots from up there would be AMAZING! Just a little word of advice, as someone who did some crazy stuff themselves 1.) warn your photog of the location and do a trial hike, make sure you can get up there, and you have everything you need to do it in your dress (like a sheet to wrap around you and some sneakers to switch into). 2.) Make sure photog brings a crazy zoom, the one thing I don't like about this picture is that you can't see the bride and groom's faces. It's TOO far away, they just look like specs to me, and you can hardly tell it's a wedding photo. 3.) Make sure you absolutely show us your photos when you get hitched! -ETP
@ETP- Thanks for all the tips! I wouldn't have thought of a sheet to cover me. The photogs that I'm talking to have all been up there numnerous times. There are pics of the couple closer up, but this one is so dramatic. We do need to do a trial hike up there so we know what we're in for.
The shots that are taken of couples close up at this place, it looks way more dangerous then it is becuase it only shows the end of the rock outcropping. MyFMIL said, "Please don't go there to get photos! I'll die of heart failure!" Then, I showed her this photo and she laughed.
I really like this one. I took it, but the idea was not mine - which is why I don't feel arrogant for posting my own picture. I thought it was a very nice original idea which works well.

I love "Mother's Hand's" in the the getting ready category in last year's winners . I'm a sucker for emotion-evoking photos.

Some of my favorite wedding photos *ever* are of photographer Gary Fong's wedding in 2007. Beautiful lighting & location (his home!), and the shots are gorgeous and emotional. Shot by Jessica Claire, who just got married this month.
Another favorite is the wedding of "Megan & Sam" shot by a personal favorite, David Wittig.

@mitla:EVERYONE does that lol!! I was teased about not having an avatar on my 1000th post and since everyone says I remind them of Bey's video Diva, it was very fitting! and i love gary fong's work! btw off topic, is your ring the legacy by tiffany?! it's friggin' gorgeous!
