Edit: OMG, look at the weight I lost between that first dress which was in sept. 09 and the 2nd dress which was July '10. I didn't even realize I had lost weight until seeing that just now.
@Kant: OMG I don't know why that one is showing up so huge. I resized it and in the post preview box it looks correct, but I guess the size change didn't go through. Sorry!!
Edit: LOL ok now it's the right size. It must have just taken a while to go through. Weird.
My first runner up was Maggie Sottero. Either Ambrosia or Sabelle. The first first time was such a blur. I wasn't plan on looking for the dress but we were walking by the bridal store and FI wanted me to try on some so that time, doesn't count (for me).
The first dress I put on when I was serious dress shopping was Pronovias Silibas

@beatriz: Aw thanks! I liked it but I thought my FI would look at it weird because of the bottom. Plus the last dress was my all time favorite!!!

It was massive! I looked like I was stuck in a cloud! The dress is Gia by Henry Roth
The runner up is Kendra by Henry Roth. Beautiful, beautiful dress but felt too formal my casual wedding.
And the winner - Harley by Henry Roth - love love love it!
This one is both the first one I tried on, and THE dress. There is no runner-up, as it was the only one I tried on.

First Dress: Pronovias Alison Not a bad first start, but I looked a little too much like a flamenco dancer.
Runner-Up: Essence of Australia D1170 Very pretty dress and a VERY close runner-up!
The ONE: Enzoani Finley I just kept thinking about her when I tried on all the other dresses. Went back to try her on immediately after trying on the Essence of Australia and I just couldn't stop looking in the mirror and at the back of her! My entourage said they could tell I like her so much more than the other one. Here she is on the day I decided. Not the best pic but my actual dress should get here any day! I also ordered a more "glitzy" belt that I might end up wearing instead of the black one.
I don't have a picture of me in all of them. As for first dress I really cannot remember the first dress i put on!

I always love to know how gown price out. It was a consideration for me, given how I had budgeted for a gown.

First dress that I tried on: Beautiful, but I looked like one giant left hip.
Runner up: Just didn't have quite enough wow factor to it for me. My mom and MOH agreed that it needed bling or a crazy shape or something haha!

On me...keep in mind that the sample was gigantic on my petite frame...
The first dress I tried on... I wasn't a fan of the waist line but I loved the bottom.
It was a 3 way tie between these 2 below and my dress...
sometimes I still wish I would have gotten this one...

The runner-up dress (which I bought and then changed my mind about...) Alfred Angelo 2000:

It was actually a dress by a private label so I have no image.. but similar to this...
I did try on a few similar to that but I'm a bigger girl (about a size 12) and I felt like I was hiding behind the very poufy ballgowns.
My runner up was this beauty:
But I just felt it didn't have enough "Ooomph" for me...
And the winner!
The model looks absolutely ridiculous in it, but it looks amazing on... not so much pouf on it in real life! More A-line than ridiculous ballgown. Also I'm getting rid of the dreadful white satin ribbon.. ugh.

First dress I tried on was a Jim Hjelm, which looked *hideous* on me, runner up (which I know is quite popular on this site) is Watters Austin, and the final---my girl Julianna.
One of the first:
The runner up... but good LORD what was I thinking? I'm so, so, so incredibly glad I didn't follow through with this. It does nothing for me!
