- Wedding: January 1994
Let me start out by saying, I’m not there yet. But a lot of the details have been worked out in terms of our planned elopement. (We are getting married in just over 2 weeks! oh my!). What’s left is writing our vows, getting our wedding license, getting my Fiance his tie, doing dry cleaning on his suit, and me finding a strapless bra. We’ve got everything else set! Location, rings, officiant, cake topper, cake, photography, lodging, dining. I am a little sad!
In some ways though I am a little relieved most of the elopement things are worked out, because I feel like I will be less distracted from my Fiance. I have found it is easy to get lost in all the planning, and a little preoccupied, to the point of not paying enough attention to the wonderful man I plan to marry! And he I think is a bit tired of being mowed down with wedding questions when he gets home from work!
Now, I am sure I will have plenty to do next month if we wind up having a post-elopement get together. And we are planning to move in a few months, so there is that. But dang! I feel like the so-called post holiday blues may be in my future! How do you ladies deal with that, or plan to deal with that if it happens?
