Wow, you are chopping BIG time.
I had my chop this weekend. They cut off 5-6 inches & I feel sooo much better. I have the pics at home.. I will try to remember to post them. My hair was almost to my butt, and now it sits nicely above my bra strap with lots of layers. I'm happy again.
Good luck & make sure to post pictures! If you can pull it off, go for it, it's a pretty fierce cut!
@hotchild That's so nice of you to donate! I know friends who have done that before. You must be excited about your new look! Nervous at all?
omw - that is a seriously cute cut!
I have been cropped for a while, but spent the last six months growing out a baaaaad shearing. It was very uneven. My (regular) stylist had me grow it out and then trimmed it into a faux-bob, so it could grow out a little more, and then my wedding stylist (different state) asked if I could keep it long for the wedding. She said it'd be more fun if we could do something with it. So now it's almost to my shoulders. I'm going insane.
Anyway, maybe I'll show her some pics at my trial next week and see what she thinks about cutting it short. I might even let her cut it then and there. :)
hotchild, you are too funny....i chopped my hair to a length like this when i was 19! i really loved it, but make sure your hair is the right texture. Mine is wavy/curly and thick and um, my hair never looked that good except on the very first day! I hope it looks fabulous and I expect some photos up here tomorrow =]. I've been pondering a chop myself, but i'm not quite there yet. Soon...soon. Mine's past my bra strap.
@EJS: My hair is thick and ultra-straight. No waves here.

Oh my gosh! What a cute cut. I have to admit- I'm pretty jealous! I want a big chop, but I'm waiting until after my wedding.
Cute style! I'm definitely ready for my post-wedding chop... just gotta find some time for it! DH is not so keen on the idea of me cutting off TOO much... he loves my long hair! I guess marriage is all about compromise. 
@ddubz: Hubs is SO sad about me cutting it off. He loves my long hair, but he does not have to deal with it every day. I need a breaaakkk!
Okay, patiently waiting for photos.. of course I forgot to logon last night and post mine.... but can't wait to see yours..
And tell your hubby.. it's just hair, it'll grow back... But to be completely honest, I asked 'permission' - if you will, to cut mine first too :)
@hotchildinthecity: do you have photos of other angles of that cut? I woke up thinking about it and think I need to go ahead and get my own hair cut before the wedding.
Or could you tell me who that is in the photo? (Presumably someone famous)
I am DYING to do this. Even contemplated getting a slight trim to get some bangs back...but to chicken. FI reminded me I'm NEVER happy with a haircut and I'll just be bummed about it. So I'm leaving it till after the wedding.
I'm tempted to call the salon now and set up an appoint for 8/9. :)

@daydream: I was going to go searching for some other angles today. That was the first/only one I found but I'm going to do some digging to help out my stylist. I do NOT want to end up looking like Kate Gosselin LoL

I've been wanting to make a drastic change with my hair for a longggg time. My hair grows fast, so pre-engagement, I used to cut/color/whatever all the time and I loved always changing. But now for three excrutiating years, I've done nothing but trim it. It's now to about the middle of my back and I am cutting it allllllll off.
I was planning on going Saturday, but my regular stylist can only fit me in tomorrow, so tomorrow it is! I'm going for something like the below...
