I thought my post-wedding chores would be so easy in comparison to planning a wedding and blogging like 5X a week, but I'm finding myself so unmotivated to get any wedding stuff done.

Here's what I have to do:

    1.  sell all my wedding extras, including my first dress that I didn't wear

    2.  print thank you cards and write and mail them

    3.  finish honeymoon recaps

    4.  wedding recaps

    5.  print photo albums for my mom and the Dude's parents

I'd like to have all of this done by the end of the year.

What are your post-wedding chores?  Are you having a hard time getting motivated?

I had to make space for all the gifts in our small kitchen... which involved a major re-arrange of everything.

We picked a photo album layout.

We're 3 months out and still haven't done thank you cards (though we designed and ordered them already)

We still have to do registry completion...

And don't tell anyone, but I haven't cleaned the dress yet.  Whoops!

I still haven't gotten our album done. Once we approve it, I'll work on blurb ones for the family or at least super nice framed photos. I never cleaned my dress. I still have a room full of wedding stuff downstairs--vases and votives and boxes and stuff. A friend is taking a lot of it off my hand, but I bought so much of the glassware, and I'm not sure how to best utilize it to decorate the house. That'll come after DH moves all HIS stuff in and we can buy furniture and put up our adorable vases, apothecary jars, fishbowls, and other hodgepodge of neat glassware. I also have all my friend's wedding stuff that I was only able to partially successfully sell

My house is still so cluttered but there is no point in organizing it until we get all his stuff in the house, too. Then it's time for a rehaul. Thank goodness i get 1.5 weeks paid holiday at Christmas! It won't exactly be a vacation...=]

Call me naive, but I am so focused on the wedding I didn't even think about "post wedding chores".  Thanks for opening my eyes to the fact that I'm not off the hook after the wedding!

We've only been back a couple of days, so I don't feel bad about ignoring the thank you notes... yet.  :)

I'll have a bunch of wedding stuff to sell as well, but right now it's all tucked away in storage at my mother's house in the US-- heading back to England has put all those tasks on the back burner.

My photographer said photos should take about 8 weeks to receive, so maybe that's a blessing in disguise, that I won't feel pressured about starting albums, etc. right away.

    Good luck!

I'll have to organize a posse to take back the rented stuff, make a pick up order for the linen company, gather the remaining centerpiece items (crossing fingers in hopes there won't be any), and then plan the honeymoon.  It's a nice thought, but having the honeymoon as our wedding registry is kind of frustrating.  We still don't know where we're going. Hahahaha.

I definitely have already started thinking about post-wedding chores.  My most favorite, though, will be chopping my hair off.  I can't wait.

I have to order prints from the wedding and work on our album. I also need to start selling wedding items, including 2 of the 3 dresses I ended up buying!

After the wedding, we have to build a patio-vegetable garden. I'm hoping it will prevent post-wedding blues and give us some homegrown food next summer!
