@Koala2013:  Hopefully the truth will put you at ease: 10 minutes of a less than thrilled bride does not a wedding ruin.

I bet you that almost nobody remembers now, & I guarantee it is not the fist thing that comes to any guest’s mind.

Everybody knows a bride is under a lot of stress of the big day, & it makes me sad that you feel so guilty over a normal reaction that just about any bride would have over rain on her wedding day.

I too have small wedding day regrets, but I refuse to indulge in the dirty details, because frankly there is nothing I can change about it now, & at the end of the day I am married & I will have all the beautiful pictures to prove that the day was mostly magical.

Unless your 10 minute sadness was actually a Bridezillas-worthy tirade, no one will remember it!

@Koala2013:  Maybe your friend(s) said something about it because you are usually an optimistic person & it may have been the first time they saw you less than happy. Obviously, I don’t know you on a personal level so I’m not sure, but it’s a guess I’m willing to wager on considering that if you were typically a high-strung or pessimistic person, you probably wouldn’t be feeling so bad about showing 10 minutes of sadness or annoyance (heck, at times I was a major bitch, but I’m not feeling too guilty about it since I’ve already said sorry, and most of the people incurring my wrath deserved it).

Just try to remember that at the end of the day, you are a human being & are allowed to have & show a range of emotions that are not always happy or favorable. No person is perfect, and no wedding is either. I bet you that every single bride in the history of mankind had at least one wedding day regret. &, if it makes you feel better, we didn’t have a wedding cake & instead cut sheet cake at our wedding, & the caterer forgot to get black plates even though I reminded her about 10 times, & so our pics of us cutting our ugly sheet cake also include us eating off of fugly cheap paper dixie plates. & trust me, that is just the tip of the iceburg on stuff that went wrong at my wedding lol! One day, it won’t annoy me anymore, & I’ll laugh about it. There is beauty in the imperfections, & I say that with all sincerity & not just to try & make you feel better.
