we're still stressing a bit since we haven't gone to or pay for our honeymoon yet. Hopefully after that we can start saving again.

Yes we had that moment of relief as well. We paid off everything we owed (I had some CC debt, DH still had a ring payment, the honeymoon, etc.) and when we clicked 'send' with the payment it was like a moment of euphoria. We weren't really 'better' off than pre-wedding (which is another topic for another thread involving guest gift generosity), but we pretty much broke even which was fine with us!
It is good to know our accounts don't die after the wedding. I was beginning to think I was giving my bank account a heart attack...
Hahahaha, yes my bank account hates me. For the first time in years I am having to say these words out loud...'I am broke'...and it hurts like hell.
LOL at plantains, "I am broke" is my new middle name, I told FH that even though I am so excited for our wedding, I can't wait until it's over and we can actually save money, right now we don't have any debt and we're keeping it that way, but we also don't have any savings, all of our extra money is going to the wedding...ugh, but after the wedding, it's all going to savings...I can't wait *sigh*

There was a point before the wedding where we were so stressed out about how in the world we were going to be able to afford everything and then what it would be like post-wedding. I am so happy to report that we survived the pre-wedding money stresses and are finally back to a balanced spot! We have paid off 2 credit cards now that the wedding is over and it is such a huge relief! Any other bees experiencing the relief of it all? For us, that was probably the most stressful thing to think about when planning the wedding.
And for all of the other bees that are still experiencing that pre-wedding money stress, try to remember that it will all be okay very soon!
