- Wedding: October 2013
Hi ladies! My wedding is finally over and was absolutely amazing! I am posting a few pictures because I remember obsessively looking for pictures of my gown online (Casablanca 2017) because the manufacturers website does it no justice at all, it misses all the detail!! So for all those brides out there like me who want lots of pictures, hopefully these help!! You can see modifications I made to the dress, and I was so happy with all of them. I changed the neckline to a modified sweetheart, had some lace straps/sleeves put on, and had the 3D flowers removed from the bodice.(all done through Casablanca). FYI, I had to wear a crenoline skirt underneath, and I really didn’t want to- I didn’t want the extra poof or material, but it was the only way to stop the dress from going between my legs. I took it off at the reception after pictures.
I also did neutral mix and match bridesmaids, which was a ton of work, but I loved the result. I had my girls pick out whatever style they felt comfortable in, and then we chose a color that would match. Their dresses are from all from different bridal salons and are different vendors (everyone was from different areas)- impressions, jordan, and bill levkoff. Getting/seeing swatches is an absolute must if you are going this route, it’s just too hard to tell online. I went to a few bridal salons, wrote down “acceptable colors” for each designer they were looking at, and they picked what they wanted. I chose roses with just a flush of pink/peach (I used colors called la perla- the more pinkish one and vendella- the more neutral one)
