- Wedding: August 2013
I’ve been “Googling” the answer to this question and not finding the answers I need so I thought I’d ask you lovely ladies. My wedding is small and intimate and it’s truly been a joy to plan. I love that I get to spoil my guests and looking forward to being surrounded by those who are nearest and dearest to us. We have planned a VERY casual potluck party roughly a month after the ceremony at an outdoor pavilion for extended family and friends.
The only thing I seem to struggling with is how to handle the alcohol. Legally we have covered our bases and have a permit for alcohol to be on site but I just don’t know how we are going to serve/provide it. BYOB doesn’t seem right as we are already asking for guests to bring a dish of their favorite foods, but a toonie bar seems like such a hassle-hiring someone to sell tickets/pour drinks! On the flip side, there is no way I could financially provide an open bar style event for this large group of people (roughtly 175) who tend to drink like fish on occasions such as this.
