Definitely not weird, by any means! It would basically be a TTD (Trash The Dress) session....you don't have to actually "trash" your dress, it's just a term. A lot of brides plan these, as it allows them to get more fabulous pictures, even if the wedding is over! =)
I plan on doing a post wedding shoot. We also had dreary and quite unseasonably chilly weather and took only a couple outdoor shots. So we plan to do another wedding shoot outdoors over the summer. I can't wait.
I'm getting super excited for ours except there is NO way I'll be able to fit back into my dress at this point!!! I have 6 weeks and some major work to do!!! The motivation of the wedding is gone and I've been nomming on all the foods I deprived myself. Back to operation starvation!
I don't think it's weird at all! I got married in March and am considering doing something like that... but I'm there with you girl.. I don't know if I can fit in my dress! But one good thing is that it's a corset back so I can just stuff myself back into the dress and tie myself in. :)
Kim, I think it's a great idea! I'm planning on doing an after shoot because I know we'll want to head to the reception ASAP instead of posing for tons of pics. Plus I'm betting we'll be much calmer & more rested when we do the after shoot!
I think it's a great idea too! I have a few friends who were dissapointed by their wedding pictures, and I wish they would do something like this so they could have some amazing shots to hang up at home.
I already told my FI that if we get rain/crappy weather on Saturday, we're doing a post-wedding shoot but he can just wear a nice suit
I am considering doing this depending on how the pictures come out. I had dress issues, it was too big, kept sliding all night, and some point I stopped caring. However, I am not normally a person who is comfortable with it all hanging out. So we are thinking about getting dressed up in the wedding gear and taking a bunch of fun pictures.

So we got married at a vineyard known for it's spectacular views. I was so excited about the droolworthy pictures that we would get. The week of our wedding the forecast was dreary and rainy. Then sure enough, our wedding day was a fine mist and fog all day. We did get some fabulous dramatic pictures, but I really felt like I missed out on the photo ops that we really wanted. I talked to the photog that did our engagement shoot and scheduled a "post wedding shoot" for us to get dressed up again and get those amazing pictures. Is this weird? I haven't really heard of a lot of people doing this. Kinda like a day after shoot, just 4 months later.....
