oh im fighting the urge to do nothing and stuff my face big time!!!!! i took almost 2 weeks off from training and was eating high fat foods almost non stop (cake & icecream featured predominately) - i gain weight just by looking at it
back to the trainer 3 times per week, back to weekly weighings, back to swimming daily, back to writing a daily food diary
i fit it all in by doing 6am sessions and during my lunch break - same with hubby, he has his own trainer and its 6.30am sessions
That's pretty diligent! It's hard not to just eat whatever you want, right? ha. I have people telling me left and right "it's ok, you're married now". Eek. No thanks!
I agree I gain weight by osmosis, too, lol. Just smelling it...ha!
I'd love to go in the am, but i tend to work at 630 or 7 and it helps wake me up after my work day. sometimes, like today, lunch didn't digest so well so i can home and cleaned all night instead! Ick.
heheeh, i do joke that "ive got the ring, i can let myself go now" but seriously, i gained 6lbs in 2 weeks!!!!
im lucky that my trainer is very close to my office and we have FAB office shower facilities (no water saving devices here!) so i really enjoy my long hot shower with a full force of water pressure
in summer i will cut back on swimming (too crowded/parking issues) and do a night walk every other night
I have been a lazy girl since the wedding, but I'm determined to get back into shape! I'm getting back into my gym routine next week! I'm worried I'll fall back off the wagon once my daughter comes home and starts kindergarten and then in Sept. I'm starting a new job that will require me to work nights, so we'll see!
Hmmm, apparently either everybody else DIDN'T gain any weight, or they're not telling! LoL. Or they're not married yet, haha =]
I weighed myself on mom's scale and it was not kind to me. Oh, i remember the days when it was, lol. Nothing like a reality check!
Oh, I gained weight, about 9 pounds. I had to stop working out because I hurt my back, and I didn't watch what I was eating, and voila. I'm finally starting physical therapy today, almost six weeks later, so hopefully that will help get me more active again.
I've started jogging in the mornings 3 -4 times a week. Hubs usually goes with me so it is great motivation for both of us if the other one is doing it. Also we follow the South Beach Diet Phase 1 during the week for meals.
I am glad we are doing it together. Otherwise we'd lose motivation pretty quickly.

Lucky for me my husband's still far away so he didn't get to see the 10 pounds I packed on during my 4-week gym sabbatical. And I have nobody to rush home to, so it's no big deal if i go during "dinnertime" now. It wasn't so bad during the honeymoon (mostly liquid), but I spent a week in the UK for work getting stuffed full of coffees and creamy things and butter fried goodness and fancy conference food. Then slowly weening the sugar beast off when I got home. Needles to say, EJS's pants didn't fit for 2 weeks.
So how are you maintaining your wedding resolutions? I've cut myself some slack and told myself if I go to the gym 3-4 days a week, that's reasonable. As opposed to my usual 5. I'm back to drinking wine most evenings (yay!) and I let myself have carbs a little more often. White carbs. It feels more like a reasonable way to live, instead of as extreme. And, interestingly enough, the weight fell off. I'm not as tone as I used to be, and I definitely need to go back to pilates to get my midsection less jiggly, but I like to think it's a negligible amount as I'm slowly ebbing my way back into the intense cardio classes (60 minutes long!) so I don't overkill.
So how do you do it and make time for it now that your husband is around? I'm worried that when mine comes home I'll let it all go to Hell in a handbasket!
Wow that was a saga. Ok your turn!
