I think I have finally figured out what my bouquet will look like! I love how simple and elegant it is. My colors are white and apple green, so I think it has just enough green in it to match.
Please show me yours!
@nativedesires: Beautiful! Is that a brooch bouquet?
I LOVE these.....
@bmo88 yes it is :) I made it myself, thanks
@hogoboom2012: Were those your actual bouquets? They are very pretty. My BM's dresses are the same color. What was your overall color scheme?
@bmo88: They are. We did them ourselves the night before the wedding. Our colors were a springy green (the color of the BM dresses in the photo), sherbet orange and a light salmon. I used the orange and green a LOT more than the salmon. Really, the only place that showed up was on my flower girls and in the flowers.
For our bouquets we ordered bulk flowers from Sams: gerbera daisies, white and pink roses, babys breath and ferns. My bouquet was white roses, white gerberas and then the baby's breath. The girls could use orange or pink daisies and the pink roses, but mine was the only bouquet with white roses.
Its still a work in progress, gotta trim the stems to make em even and adding a picture of my mom, etc :)
There are two bouquets I absolutely love, so my florist is going to combine elements from the two. I really love the overall look and feel of the first bouquet, but I hate the roses and the pink elements, which is why were adding in a completely different flower.
Were going to use the Dahlias and Trachelium from this bouquet........
And then adding in Lisianthus.......
I love her bouquet!!!
These are the pictures I gave to my florist, however Peonies wont be avaiable when I get married at the end of July (tear). She will be using Garden Roses, Dahlias, and Ranunculus.
Calla lilys and tulips. My dad was born in Holland whose flower is the tulip. Once I saw this bouquet I knew that was it. Mine will be all white and my girls will carry a smaller version in pink and purple.
I don't have a pic of my actual bouquet uploaded, but here are my inspiration pics:
I will make my own bouquet, so I'm currently trying different combinations. I made this last weekend:
And this one yesterday:
I know I'll definitely have baby's breath (called bridal veil in my native language) and cornflowers in the final version. However, even though our wedding colours are white, red and blue I think I'll just stick to blue and white in the final version so that it gives a less messy impression. Instead of red flowers, I will buy a red ribbon to wrap around the stems.
@hogoboom2012: Nice job on the DIYing. Do you think going through Sam's club was worth it? Any hassle or quality concerns? I am planning on purchasing my calla lilies and orchids through Sam's to create my bouquet.
The boquets are SO gorgeous!
Just noticed my pictures don't show for some reason
@dancingfox: That bouquet is BEAUTIFUL!!! I also love peonies, but don't think they will be available for my wedding in late June either.
This is my absolute dream bouquet (we will try for something similar with what is available):
These are my inspiration pics that I brought to my florist. My bouquet will be the white one and the bridesmaids will have the colored ones.
These are the inspiration photos I showed our florist! I love them.
Peach for me, and white ranunculus/ baby's breath/ dusty miller for my girls
@LauraRR: Peonies might be available for you! Every florist I spoke with said they are usually available until the first week in July.
This is the picture I showed my florist!
Bright and colorful wildflowers!
for the girls:
@bmo88: No concerns at all. I had them delivered on Thursday for a Saturday wedding. If you order any roses, make sure to unwrap them all the way - it was a brief moment of panic when I thought 1/2 my roses were missing. Otherwise, things went great! The pink roses opened REALLY fast is the only issue we had.
@monicaking77: Are those peonies WAHHHHH...they won't be in season for my wedding. My favorite flower!!
@Kimy: I think so. Have you thought of using garden roses instead? They have the same fluffy look.
@hogoboom2012: Good to know. Thank you for your insights! Definitely helps me feel better about going this route.
@danielleinfl: I am falling in love with Astilbe :)
