@Lily_of_the_valley:  I’m SUPER self-conscience about what I wear (I am a street size 18/20), but I am also short so they just look weird on me, lol.

@Lily_of_the_valley: My dress is the first one, Allure 9002! I didn’t take any photos in it, but I love it so much. It’s got a super flattering fit, and the bottom is so romantic and soft looking. And it sparkles like crazy in person. The only thing that bothered me was that the seams in the front are kind of visable in the white version, but not so much in the ivory. Also the bottom is more a-symetrical then it looks in photos.

Good luck! I’m sure you’ll look great

Edit to add: If you go look at the Allure website, you can watch the video in it, where the boning is more visable down the front. It’s only in the white version that it looks like that, which is weird. They’re not OMG I CAN SEE THE BONING, but it did almost stop me from getting the dress

This one is somewhat like those. I tried the mermaid-y dresses and could not move at all! There was no way I could walk down the aisle or dance, etc. Everyone said they looked amazing but it wasn’t worth not being able to walk! Hopefully you’ll have better luck!

I tried on some dresses like that, and they were unbelievably flattering! I don’t have any pictures, unfortunately. Good luck!

@MmeSilverBullet:  me neither and I wear an 8-10. I feel like my eyes zero in on the midsection when I tried those types of dresses on especially because I have no behind. From the side it was just horrible. No butt and just …….gut. I’m not very “curvy” and those didnt help me!

@Lily_of_the_valley:  I tried on two similar dresses, pics aren’t great as I wasn’t a huge fan of either was just getting pics for reference.

This one was the first dress I tried on that I felt was flattering, I ended up going with a similar design but one where the boning didn’t go down as low. I felt like I could not move in this dress and I tested sitting down and it was not at all comfortable.

This dress I found was very plain, we were mixing it up with some cap sleeves and a sash in the pic, sorry for blocking most of the shot with my hands. I did not find this dress very flattering on me at all as I do not have a defined waist.

For reference I’m a street size 8, 5’6 – 140lbs

This is my dress. It hides my tummy very well. I am 5’6″ and about 195

I tried on one kind of similar, I liked it but it made my already big hips look even wider..which I did not like..here is a picture.  Good Luck!

Mine is similar to that 3rd one, but it’s definitely more of a dropped waist than trumpet.

@Lily_of_the_valley:  Mine is not white, but the silhouette is similar, I think? Some if the onea you posted are more drop waist and some more mermaid…. However, it sounds like the general fit/flare styles are what you want to gauge. My body type is relatively average/somewhat athletic and I am 5’8 (and standing on my toes here to simulate heels). Relatively evenly proportioned. I do know this style did not look great on me when I first tried them on about 15lbs heavier than this photo. It amplified my belly. I also think it will look even better once I shed my last 15-20… So, it’s def not the most universally flattering, IMO… Just depends on what it will look like with *your* bust, waist and hips… As well as if it’s corset back, boned and/or what fabric it’s made out of. Mine was a gauzy organza on the bodice (almost wrapped in a mummy style fashion as crazy as that sounds), which I found much more flattering than, say…. Satin?

@Lily_of_the_valley:  Here’s mine – not quite as fit and flare as your examples, but same idea with the ruched tulle:
