This first thing that came to mind when I read your colors and non-floral was LEMONS! You could do some great centerpieces with fruit. Either cut or left whole. I also think of black glassware to add a little dramatic touch. You could give the lemons (uncut ones) away at the end of the nigth so your SO wouldn't think they were going to waste
You could do this with silks
Or this with a black stand instead
Possibly something like this
I know you said your FH doesn't like fresh flowers but I was just thinking what if you got potted plants (since your wedding is in may spring flowers would be out and inexpensive). I was thinking a very small potted plant - like a real dense flower or white alyssum or something - and have the pots real close together so it makes like a "lawn" on the table. Then place candles in the lawn. Guests could take the flowers home at the end of the night as their favors and the fresh flowers wouldn't be wasted
I would love to see some more non-floral centerpieces. I think they are so cool!
I LOVE lemon centerpieces. I also love yellow and black weddings :) So lovely!
I'm sure if you google lemon centerpiece, you'll come up with a TON of inspiration.
My centerpieces have flowers AND pictures...
I love the lemon ones as well!!
I adore lemon centerpieces! Our colors are gray and yellow, so I'm definitely planning on incorporating some lemons into our centerpieces - cute and soo cheap!
Every time I see those feather ones, I fall back in love even though it is TOTALLY not my style. I think I love the fluffiness of them all!
also there are those fake battery tea lights, in case you find something you love that looks better with candles
We are going with this.

I love lemon and Lime Centerpieces.... we were gonna do Purple and Lime but it was hard to tie in this color other than LIMES
Definately look into flameless candles they are pricey but they even have them in Pillar candles.
I am definately thinking lemons I am sure you could find somewhere to buy them wholesale.
Also with Yellow Black and White ... Daisy's come to mind which are a really inexpensive flower and live for weeks....and black and white polka dots come to mind as well I will google some stuff up later
if you did decide to use some flowers you could give them away to your attendants and parents and grandparents as gifts
I just posted this in another thread, but I love these little pennant flags! I think they'd be perfect for a daytime casual wedding.
the feathers look cool! And were using lemons...Im so excited to see how they turn out!
rosy the berries look great with the candle and hurricane vase.
they have the flameless tealights at dollartree- more than one per pack!
I got these lanterns for my wedding. There are going to be 2 on each square table and then two vases with flowers to form a square.
I got 25 of these for under $100 shipped!

My FH hates the idea of cut flowers for centerpieces that will just be thrown away. Have any of you come up with some cute ideas that would work for our black/yellow & white wedding?
The thing that makes it hard is we are getting married in a art gallery so they do not allow candles.
Thanks, bees!
